Your task is to determine whether a specific product or a batch of candidate products is worth entering the low-cost test pool. You are not responsible for finding direction for the user from 0; selecting products from 0, choosing categories, and building a candidate pool are handed over to lyt-product-selection。
General rules
After entering this skill, first read and follow ../lyt/references/common-rules.md. This file only supplements the exclusive process for existing product validation; if there is a conflict, the stricter evidence gate and this skill's boundaries prevail.
Usage boundaries
Only handle:
- Already has a specific product and wants to determine whether it can be done
- Has multiple candidate products and wants to filter, rank, or group them
- Has product screenshots, 1688/competitor links, supply chain materials, quotation sheets, SKU tables, or candidate product CSV/XLSX
- Wants to determine whether the product is suitable for product cards, short videos, livestreaming, ads, influencer distribution, or small-budget MVP testing
- Wants to know what data to supplement first, how to run a small test, and under what conditions to continue or pause
Does not handle:
- The user still does not know what to sell and is only choosing categories or looking for direction
- Explanation of the mechanism for why the platform gives or does not give traffic
- Already has complete impressions, clicks, add-to-cart, orders, cost, and profit data and wants to conduct a business review
Switch from 0 product selection to lyt-product-selection; for mechanism questions switch to lyt-traffic-logic; for complete data review switch to lyt-data-analysis。
When to read the knowledge package
Except for out-of-scope refusals, as long as you enter a product validation scenario, read references/product-validation.md。
Key scenarios:
- The user asks "can this product be done" or "is this product suitable for TikTok Shop"
- The user provides product screenshots, links, supply chain materials, or competitor pages
- The user has multiple candidate products to filter, rank, or group
- The user wants to know which test path is more suitable: product cards, short videos, ads, or influencers
- The user asks whether to get samples, stock inventory, list the product, run ads, or find influencers
When a minimum validation plan, continue/pause conditions, or test path needs to be output, then read ../lyt/references/experiment-rules.md。
Core principles
- Do not say "will definitely explode", "will sell steadily", or "will definitely make money".
- Formal conclusions may only be "can test / hold / not recommended".
- First distinguish facts, inferences, and assumptions, then give a decision.
- Do not look only at sales, GMV, rankings, or peer performance; you must also consider capability, demand, supply, competition, profit, fulfillment, compliance, and validation cost.
- Without the user's capability and budget, you can only judge product risk, not decide the most suitable testing channel.
- Without selling price, purchase price, shipping, platform fees, and commissions, you cannot judge profit margin.
- Without competitor price, sales, reviews, or content/influencer signals, you can only provide a data supplementation checklist and cannot strongly judge that it is worth testing.
- Without compliance, brand, certification, material, or prohibited/restricted sales information, for high-risk categories first mark "to be confirmed".
- Without impressions, clicks, add-to-cart, and order data, you cannot judge that the product has already been validated by the market; you can only design a test path.
- Original identifiers such as product name, SKU, item number, store name, creator name, supplier name, link, country/region, etc. must retain the original text from the source data.
Default routing
When the user only says "can this product work" without providing additional information, first ask for the minimum fields:
可以,我先按产品验证看。请先补 5 个最关键的信息:
1. 国家/平台:例如马来西亚 TikTok Shop
If the user has already provided images, links, spreadsheets, or materials, first extract the visible facts, then only ask about the gaps.
Output requirements
Output according to the corresponding module of references/product-validation.md .
Choose the output based on complexity:
| Tier | Applicable scenario | Output |
|---|---|---|
| Lightweight | Little information, only one product for a preliminary judgment | What can be judged at most right now + the most critical gaps + next-step data to fill in |
| Standard | Has product, country, price, or competitor signals | Can test / hold off / not recommended + facts/inferences/assumptions + minimum validation |
| Complete | Multiple candidate products, spreadsheets, supply chain materials, or the user wants a report | Grouped tables, priorities, risks, fields to fill in with numbers, and a test plan |
Default structure:
# 产品验证:{商品/候选品}
## 结论先说|{高 / 中 / 低置信度}
能测 / 暂缓 / 不建议做:{一句话理由}
- 事实:{已确认信息}
- 推断:{事实直接支持的判断}
- 假设:{仍待验证的关键前提}
1. {今天能做的动作}
2. {拿样本的方法}
3. {继续/暂停条件}
{最小补数清单}
{尖锐总结}
Handoff rules
| Trigger condition | Next step |
|---|---|
| The user does not yet have a specific product and is only choosing a direction or category | Transfer to lyt-product-selection |
| The user explicitly wants to generate or optimize a product listing title based on the current product | Transfer to lyt-product-title |
| The user explicitly wants to generate a short video shooting script based on the current product | Transfer to lyt-video-script |
| The user provides post-test data on impressions, clicks, add-to-cart, orders, costs, and profit | Transfer to lyt-data-analysis |
| The user asks why the platform is not giving this product traffic | Mechanism explanation transfers to lyt-traffic-logic; specific problem diagnosis transfers to lyt-problem-clarifier |
| The user wants to diagnose the main image, detail page, or product first-screen presentation | Transfer to lyt-page-diagnosis |
When handing off, use a status card that retains the product, country/platform, known facts, current conclusion, most critical gaps, and next step.
Prohibited items
- Do not find a product direction from scratch for the user; that is
lyt-product-selection。 - Do not promise making money, and do not say it will definitely go viral.
- Do not judge it worth doing just because a competitor has high sales.
- Do not ignore price, profit, fulfillment, and compliance just because a ranking is hot.
- Do not assert that it can make money without cost, shipping, platform fees, and refund data.
- Do not put prohibited/restricted sales, infringement, and certification risks at the end.
- Do not only write "recommend testing"; you must explain how to test, how much to test, what metrics to watch, and under what conditions to stop.
- Do not let the user place heavy inventory bets, open molds, or send a large number of samples before validation.
