Overview
Reorganize the user-specified topic folder in a browser bookmark export file into a clearer, importable new Netscape HTML file. The process analyzes the source file, extracts the target topic folder, recategorizes links and subfolders, deduplicates by URL, and keeps the output directly importable into a browser.
When to Use
Use this skill when the user has the following needs:
- Analyze a bookmark export HTML and locate the user-specified topic folder
- Recategorize the links and subfolders under that folder
- Deduplicate by URL
- Output an importable HTML containing only that topic folder
Do Not Use
This skill should not be used in the following scenarios:
- The input is not a browser bookmark export HTML
- The user only needs textual advice and does not need files processed
- The user's need is unrelated to bookmark organization (such as pure JSON/PDF/Docx processing)
Usage Instructions
- First confirm the necessary parameters with the user:
- Input bookmark file path
- Topic folder name
- Output file path
- First run analysis and preview:
python3 scripts/reorganize_topic_bookmarks.py \
--input /path/to/bookmarks.html \
--output /tmp/topic-preview.html \
--topic-folder "<topic-folder-name>" \
--mode auto \
--lang zh \
--report /tmp/topic-report.json \
--print-report
- Adjust parameters as appropriate:
--mode auto: automatically select a classification strategy--mode generic: use a generic classification strategy--no-dedupe-url: do not deduplicate URLs
- Generate the final file:
python3 scripts/reorganize_topic_bookmarks.py \
--input /path/to/bookmarks.html \
--output /path/to/topic-bookmarks-reorganized.html \
--topic-folder "<topic-folder-name>" \
--mode auto \
--lang zh
- Check and report before delivery:
- Confirm the output file exists
- Summarize the input link count, output link count, and deduplication removal count
- Confirm the output contains only one top-level folder (the target topic folder)
Output Requirements
- The output must be in Netscape bookmark format and directly importable into a browser
- The output retains only the target topic folder
- Preserve the original
<A ...>attributes as much as possible (such as add-date/icon) - The directory structure is reorganized by high-level categories for easier future maintenance
