Follow the shared workflow in ../wps-learning-workflow.md.
Inputs
- A WPS note, writing task, or review topic currently being worked on
- Potentially relevant old WPS notes
- Optional time range or task context
Output
A structured WPS-ready selective recall result that points out the old notes most worth revisiting right now and the content that can be directly reused.
What this skill should produce
The point is not to "find more similar notes," but to recall the old content that is most valuable right now.
It is recommended to include these parts:
most useful prior notes nowwhy each is worth recallinghow it connects to the current taskwhat can be reused directlywhere to insert or link it
This skill should recall useful prior notes, not perform full cross-note mapping.
WPS-first rules
- When outputting, write the old note titles so users can find them directly in WPS.
- If the original paragraphs are unavailable, provide a trustworthy summary and do not disguise it as an exact quotation.
- It is better to recall fewer items than too many; prioritize high-value content.
Quality rules
- Prioritize old notes that are "usable right now," not old notes that are merely "somewhat similar."
- Try to balance theory, comparisons, and cases; do not recall only one type of content.
- Clearly distinguish between content that can be "directly reused" and content that is "suitable for later expansion."
Do not use when
- The goal is to establish clear note double links or a relationship graph
- What the user really wants to do is a broad review, not selective recall
- There are not enough meaningful old notes available for recall
