Data dependencies and execution prerequisites
It is recommended to use Wind wind-mcp-skill to obtain underlying data. Before execution, first check whether it already exists locally wind-mcp-skill; if not, prompt the user to install:

Skill positioning
This skill is used to handle the most common moment of disagreement in profitable positions: "It has already risen a lot—should I trim a bit or keep holding?" The output focus is not to give an absolute answer, but to help users judge, from the dimensions of rally quality, degree of expectation realization, environmental changes, and position pressure, whether it is currently more suitable to take profits, continue holding, or combine the two.
Function overview
The core function of this skill is: after a profit, determine whether to reduce the position or continue holding.
It emphasizes rebalancing among price performance, logic progress, and risk exposure, helping users avoid extreme actions caused by greed or fear.
Use cases
- After a position rises sharply in a single day or over a short period, the user struggles with whether to lock in profits.
- A trend stock has moved far from cost, requiring reassessment of holding returns and drawdown risk.
- The team wants to form a consensus framework between reducing the position and continuing to hold.
- Users often either sell too early or give back the gains after making them.
Working principles
- "Reducing the position" and "continuing to hold" are not opposing actions; the key lies in how to handle them in tiers.
- Decisions must return to rally quality, degree of expectation realization, and environmental support.
- Only when the premises for continuing to hold still hold is it worth keeping a relatively large tail position.
- If position pressure is clearly higher than opportunity quality, priority should be given to releasing risk.
- The main text outputs only the basis for judgment and action recommendations, and does not discuss the internal implementation process.
Execution process
Step 1: Confirm the current rally stage
First determine where this rally has reached:
- Just starting, middle of the main upward wave, or the emotional acceleration tail stage
- What is the relationship between the current price and the original cost, target zone, and key resistance levels
- Is the rise steadily advancing or extremely steep
- Has obvious overextension already appeared
Step 2: Evaluate rally quality and degree of logic realization
To judge whether to continue holding, the key is not just the gain, but whether the rise is solid:
- Whether the driving logic is gradually being validated
- Whether the market is only experiencing a short-term emotional burst
- Whether the expectation gap still exists, or has already been largely reflected
- Whether support at the financial, event, or industry level continues to exist
Step 3: Check the environment and position pressure
No matter how good the individual stock is, it must also be evaluated back in the environment:
- Whether the sector still has the ability to spread
- Whether the overall market supports continuing to give a high premium
- Whether the current position weight is already too high
- If a normal drawdown occurs, whether the account can accept it
Step 4: Design a tiered handling plan
Break the actions into more reasonable tiers:
- Which portion of the position is suitable to take profits first to reduce pressure
- Which portion of the position can be retained to participate in the subsequent trend
- What conditions should the portion that continues to be held rely on to maintain it
- If acceleration continues, is there still room for further dynamic adjustment
Step 5: Set holding prerequisites and reduction triggers
Only by clearly writing out the prerequisites for "continuing to hold" is holding not just stubbornly enduring:
- Which price action characteristics indicate that one should still continue to hold
- Which signals mean that one should immediately reduce the position
- If there is heavy volume with stalling gains, a break below short-term structure, or a sector pullback, what is the sequence of actions
- Whether the protective level needs to be dynamically raised
Step 6: Form the final draft for reduction and holding
The final output should help the user clarify "how much to sell first, why still keep some, what the remaining position relies on to continue being held, and under what circumstances the judgment changes." The main text should retain the stage judgment, action layering, and holding prerequisites.
Output structure
Reduction or holding decision ({YYYY-MM-DD})
I. 30-second conclusion
- Holding target: {Stock Name}
- Current stage: {Launch / Main uptrend / Acceleration / Overextension}
- Decision inclination: {Continue holding / Reduce first then hold / Clear reduction}
- Prerequisite for retaining position: {One sentence}
- Main risk: {One sentence}
II. Breakdown of judgment
| Dimension | Current judgment | Impact on decision |
|---|---|---|
| Rise quality | {Content} | {Content} |
| Logic realization degree | {Content} | {Content} |
| Sector environment | {Content} | {Content} |
| Position pressure | {Content} | {Content} |
III. Action recommendations

- Portion to continue holding: {Content}
- Protection rules: {Content}

IV. Subsequent observation points
- {Observation point 1}
- {Observation point 2}
- {Observation point 3}
V. Risk notice
- {Risk 1}
- {Risk 2}

Quality requirements
- Rise quality, environmental support, and position pressure must be evaluated simultaneously.
- An explanation of "how much to reduce, how much to keep, and why it is divided this way" must be provided.
- The prerequisites for continuing to hold must be clear.
- The late stage of acceleration and the middle stage of a trend must be handled differently.
- The output should help rebalance profitable positions, rather than reinforce emotional sell-point judgments.
