Data dependencies and execution prerequisites
It is recommended to use Wind wind-mcp-skill to obtain the underlying data. Before execution, first check whether there is already wind-mcp-skilllocally; if not, prompt the user to install:

Skill positioning
This skill is used to determine whether a position that is already profitable is worth continuing to amplify. The output focus is not to encourage chasing highs and adding more, but to help users find a balance among trend confirmation, profit protection, and risk reallocation, so that adding becomes expansion with the trend rather than impulsive risk-taking induced by profits.
Function overview
The core function of this skill is: determine when a profitable position can continue to be added.
It emphasizes first confirming that the original trend is still strengthening, then deciding whether floating profits can be converted into a larger expression, while also providing protection rules and boundaries for stopping additions.
Use cases
- A strong stock is already profitable, and the user wants to determine whether it is suitable for rolling additions.
- The planned initial position has already been validated successfully, and a decision is needed on whether to expand to the full position.
- The team wants to make "adding to winners" a disciplined positive mechanism.
- Users often become more afraid the more a profitable position rises, and do not know whether to hold, add, or stop.
Working principles
- Only when the trend, logic, and environment strengthen in sync does adding to a profitable position have discussion value.
- Adding must be based on the protection of existing floating profits, and must not re-expose already earned money to large risk.
- Adding should unfold gradually according to the degree of confirmation, rather than being amplified all at once.
- The boundary for stopping additions must be clearly defined to avoid losing control because of strength.
- The main text only presents the decision framework and does not discuss the internal implementation process.
Execution process
Step 1: Confirm the current profit quality
First determine whether the existing profit is "healthy":
- Whether the profit comes from trend continuation or a short-term pulse
- Whether the current position has just left the cost area, or has clearly moved away from it
- Whether the floating profit is sufficient to provide a certain buffer
- Whether the current price action still conforms to the original planned path
Step 2: Check whether the original logic continues to strengthen
Adding is not because of making money, but because "the odds of winning are greater":
- Whether the core driver is further strengthening
- Whether the industry or sector continues to resonate
- Whether the market gives more confirmation, rather than only emotional chasing
- Whether the original divergence is converging in a favorable direction
Step 3: Identify the patterns and timing suitable for adding
A profitable position is not suitable for expansion at all times:
- Whether a pullback confirmation after a breakout is more suitable for adding, or a second volume expansion is more suitable for adding
- Whether it is currently in the late acceleration stage and no longer suitable to chase
- Whether there is a new consolidation platform that can serve as a low-risk adding point
- If the price is far from the key level, whether it is better to wait rather than force a chase
Step 4: Design the adding pace and protection rules
Break adding into executable steps:
- What proportion of the original plan the first addition accounts for
- How to simultaneously move the protection level upward after adding
- If the price action does not continue to strengthen after adding, whether the newly added portion should be quickly withdrawn
- Should only floating profits be allowed to expand, without using additional risk budget
Step 5: Assess the overall risk exposure after adding to the position
Adding to the position changes the nature of the trade and requires rechecking:
- Whether the total position is already too large
- Whether the new position causes an imbalance in single-stock weight
- Whether the portfolio's exposure to the same theme or style is overly concentrated
- If the market suddenly changes, can you still exit calmly
Step 6: Set standards for stopping adding to the position and handling reversals
You must clearly write in advance when to stop adding:
- The trend enters the final-stage acceleration
- Sector heat is overly crowded
- New confirmation is insufficient, leaving only price inertia
- No positive feedback after adding to the position
Step 7: Form the final draft for adding to a profitable position
The final output should let the user know "whether expansion is possible now, how to expand, how to protect after expanding, and under what circumstances to withdraw the newly added position." The main text retains timing judgment, pacing arrangements, and boundary rules.

Quality requirements
- Profit quality must be confirmed first before discussing whether to add to the position.
- Position-adding suggestions should reflect protecting floating profits, rather than restarting high-risk exposure.
- A distinction must be made between the trend reinforcement phase and the final acceleration phase.
- The withdrawal rules for the newly added position must be clear.
- The output should help expand with the trend, rather than amplify profit illusions.
