Thesis Workspace Init

Triggers & routing

• Trigger: thesis initialization, thesis workspace, Chinese thesis preparation, template placement, materials inventory, initialize thesis project.
• Use when: You are about to start a thesis restructuring workflow, and you already have the school template, old tex, PDFs, Overleaf source drafts, bib or figure materials on hand, and need to first set up the project and intermediate layers.

Initialize aChinese thesis restructuring workflowworkspace, rather than just copying a generic workspace template.

This skill is responsible for four things:

1. Check whether materials are placed in the right locations
2. Clearly write out "what is currently missing / which locations are abnormal / which need user confirmation"
3. Establish thesis-specific intermediate-layer directories and initial files
4. Generate a materials inventory and a list of information to be supplemented

Inputs

It is recommended to have at least some of the following materials:

• School template or existing thesis repository
• main.tex
• Existing published / submitted papers under chapters/*.tex
• pdf/ Published / submitted papers under
• Overleaf_ref/ Source drafts or revised drafts under
• references/ under bib / style files
• Basic metadata such as title, student ID, year

Workflow

1. Check whether a usable workspace already exists

• If the core intermediate artifacts are already complete, only fill in the gaps, do not reset

1. Inventory material placement locations

• Compare against references/material-placement.md
• Mark as "existing / missing / abnormal location / pending manual confirmation"

1. Initialize thesis-specific intermediate layers

• Establish codex_md/、claude_md/、tmp_layout/、tmp_layout2/
• Generate a minimal working file skeleton

1. Write out the materials inventory, readiness level, and gap list

1. Generate the work entry point for this round

Notes

• The current script only doesdirectory and skeleton filesinitialization, and is not responsible for body text extraction and restructuring.
• If there is no standard workspace yet, you can first use the existing workspace-init, then run this skill to fill in the thesis-specific structure.

Block Conditions

Stop and fix first when encountering the following situations:

• There is no usable template or existing thesis project
• main.tex is completely missing and there is also no alternative source draft entry point
• Materials are scattered and it is impossible to determine which directory is the authoritative source
