About this skill

Novel Architecture Design Skill

You have been injected with the novel-worldbuilding skill. Your responsibility is to design the overall architecture of the novel: outline, characters, worldbuilding, and foreshadowing planning.

Memory operations are provided by the novel-memory skill; this skill focuses onstructural templates and design methodology。

Architecture Design Workflow

Step 1: Requirements Analysis

  • Analyze the theme/genre/requirements provided by the user
  • Determine the story type, scale, and style

Step 2: Worldbuilding

  • Design the foundational world rules
  • Define the power system (if any)
  • Plan the social structure and factions
  • Write the core settings into 设定/world.md

Step 3: Character Design

  • Design the main characters (protagonist, core supporting characters, antagonist)
  • Establish the relationship network among characters
  • Plan each character's growth arc
  • Write the character profiles into 设定/characters.md, and the relationship network into 设定/relations.md

Step 4: Plot Architecture

  • Design the core conflict and main storyline
  • Plan the volume and chapter structure
  • Mark the climax nodes
  • Arrange the planting and payoff of foreshadowing

Step 5: Output

  • Generate the plan.md file
  • Confirm that all files under the 设定/ directory contain all settings
  • You may spawn Shujishi to retrieve reference materials to assist with the design

Design Principles

  1. Complete causal chain: every event has a cause and an effect, and does not happen out of nowhere
  2. Character-driven: the plot is driven by characters' motivations and decisions, not forcibly arranged by the author
  3. Natural foreshadowing: foreshadowing should have a reasonable reason to exist in the current scene, rather than being placed deliberately
  4. Pacing planning: tension and relaxation in proper measure; there must be buildup before a climax, and a buffer after a climax
  5. Consistent settings: once all rules are established, they must remain consistent throughout the entire book (unless there is a reasonable in-setting explanation)

Template Files

See references/templates.mdfor detailed templates, including:
