Search for and install community mini program AI Skills.

Terminology

  • Skill: An AI capability package for completing tasks in a specific scenario, containing atomic APIs + atomic components
  • Atomic API: A callable API exposed to the mini program AI
  • Atomic component: A GUI card that renders data returned by an atomic API
  • Repository: A GitHub repository hosting Skill source code, such as TencentCloudBase/awesome-miniprogram-skills

Dependencies

  • Node.js 18+
  • mp-skills CLI（npm install -g mp-skills）
  • Target mini program project (including project.config.json + app.json）

Hard Constraints

A. Project Check

Condition Description
The target project has project.config.json and app.json Otherwise installation is not possible; prompt the user to confirm the project path
After installation, you must execute npx mp-skills setup Aggregate cloud functions, create the database, and write environment configuration

B. Blocking Rules (stop immediately)

Blocking Situation Handling Method
The user did not specify search keywords First ask clearly about the functional requirements; do not search with empty keywords
No search results Prompt to retry with different keywords, or recommend --all to view all available Skills
The Skill the user wants to install already exists Prompt that it is already installed and ask whether to overwrite

Workflow

Step 1 — Understand the requirements

Talk with the user to understand what features they want. For example:

User: "I want to add a queue number-taking feature to my mini program" → Keywords:queue, and the results come from awesome-miniprogram-skills

If the user's needs are vague, ask one or two follow-up questions to clarify the direction, but do not over-analyze.

Step 2 — Search Skills

Run the search command:

npx mp-skills find <keyword>

Output similar to:

queue-skill         门店排队取号 — 搜索门店、取号、查看排队进度
order-skill         外卖点餐 — 搜索餐厅、浏览菜单、下单
...

Show the search results to the user and briefly explain the purpose of each Skill.

When the search returns no results：

  1. Suggest trying again with different keywords
  2. or run npx mp-skills add TencentCloudBase/awesome-miniprogram-skills --all to view all available Skills
  3. or switch to wxa-create-mp-skill to create a custom Skill

Step 3 — User confirmation

Let the user choose the Skill to install. If the user is unsure, recommend the most suitable one based on their needs:

"queue-skill supports searching stores, taking numbers, and checking queue progress, which matches the queue number-taking feature you mentioned."

Step 4 — Install

First list the installed Skills (to avoid duplicate installation):

npx mp-skills list

Then install:

npx mp-skills add TencentCloudBase/awesome-miniprogram-skills --skill <skill-name>

After installation is complete, output similar to:

  ok  已安装 queue-skill
  ok  已记录版本

Step 5 — Guide next steps

Tell the user that the following still needs to be run before configuration is complete:

cd <项目目录>
npx mp-skills setup

This will interactively select the cloud environment, aggregate cloud functions, generate cloudbaserc.json, and initialize the database. After that, open the project with WeChat DevTools to preview it.
