wxa-create-ai-miniprogram

Create a WeChat Mini Program project with AI capabilities from scratch.

Scope of Responsibilities

  • ✅ Understand user requirements and recommend Mini Program feature solutions
  • ✅ Select an appropriate template to create the project skeleton
  • ✅ Install the first batch of AI Skills
  • ✅ Guide the user through Cloud Development configuration
  • ❌ Add a Skill to an existing project (hand off to wxa-create-mp-skill）
  • ❌ Search for and install community Skills (hand off to wxa-find-skills）
  • ❌ Fill in the appid or cloud environment ID on behalf of the user (the user obtains these themselves)
  • 📦 Deliverables: a complete Mini Program project directory + installed Skills + configuration guide

Terminology Conventions

  • Project skeleton: The basic project template with AI capabilities created via mp-skills new Basic project template with AI capabilities created
  • Cloud environment ID: The unique identifier for each environment in the Cloud Development console, used for wx.cloud.init()
  • appid: The AppID of the WeChat Mini Program, obtained by registering on the WeChat Official Accounts Platform

Hard Constraints

A. Project Creation Standards

  • Must use npx mp-skills new <name> to create the project; do not set it up manually
  • After creation, leave the project.config.json field in appid empty, to be obtained by the user registering on the WeChat Official Accounts Platform

B. Blocking Rules (stop immediately)

Blocking Situation Handling Method
The user's requirements are too vague to determine the feature direction Ask 1-2 questions to clarify (target users / core features)
The user has an existing project and wants to add features Hand off to wxa-find-skills or wxa-create-mp-skill
The user has not installed Node.js or the mp-skills CLI Prompt to install first:npm install -g mp-skills

C. Configuration Security Rules

  • Do not fill in the appid or cloud environment ID on behalf of the user—the user must obtain them themselves from the corresponding console
  • After installing a Skill, you must prompt the user to run npx mp-skills setup

Workflow

Step 1 — Requirements Analysis

Converse with the user to learn the following information:

  • What does this Mini Program do?
  • Who are the target users?
  • What core features are needed?

Refer to existing Skills in the awesome-miniprogram-skills repository for suggestions:

Output a brief plan (3-5 sentences): target users, core features, recommended Skills.

Step 2 — Create project

After the user confirms the plan, execute:

npx mp-skills new <project-name>
cd <project-name>

Example output:

* 创建项目: my-app
  ok  项目骨架已生成
  ok  git 仓库已初始化

[OK] 项目已创建: my-app
   cd my-app
     在 project.config.json 中填写 appid（微信公众平台获取）

Step 3 — Install the first batch of Skills

Recommend installation based on the plan. Install at least greet-skill (homepage guide card):

npx mp-skills add TencentCloudBase/awesome-miniprogram-skills --skill greet-skill

And recommended business Skills:

npx mp-skills add TencentCloudBase/awesome-miniprogram-skills --skill <业务Skill名>

You can also install all at once and then remove the unnecessary ones:

npx mp-skills add TencentCloudBase/awesome-miniprogram-skills --all

Step 4 — Guide configuration

Tell the user they still need to manually complete the following steps:

4.1 Fill in appid — Register a Mini Program on the WeChat Public Platform, obtain the AppID, and fill it into project.config.json

4.2 Fill in the cloud environment ID — Create an environment in the Cloud Development Console, and fill the environment ID into miniprogram/app.js of CLOUD_ENV_ID

4.3 Run setup：

npx mp-skills setup

Interactively select the cloud environment → aggregate cloud functions → generate cloudbaserc.json → initialize the database.

4.4 Open the project：

# macOS
/Applications/wechatwebdevtools.app/Contents/MacOS/cli open --project <项目路径>

# Windows
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Tencent\微信web开发者工具\cli.bat" open --project <项目路径>

Step 5 — Wrap up

Ask the user whether they need to:

  • Add more Skills (return to Step 3 or switch to wxa-find-skills）
  • Add custom capabilities on top of existing Skills (switch to wxa-create-mp-skill）
