Knowledge card generation

Use generate_html_card to generate a single-page HTML knowledge card.

Core principles

In the first round of quick learning, a fixed card set is generated; after the first round, cards are not the default action, but an action taken when something is "worth consolidating for review." The tutoring chat panel on the right needs to first assess the user's context:

• First effective exchange → must independently determine how many pages are needed and generate a 3-5 card introductory set rich in both text and images.
• User wants to converse, follow up, clarify, or confirm understanding → converse directly, do not generate cards.
• User explicitly requests cards/summary/diagram/visualization, or is systematically explaining a new stable concept → generate cards.
• If the text reply is expected to exceed 200 characters, or requires formulas, derivations, animations, tables, images, illustrations, flowcharts, etc. for presentation → generate cards.
• Follow-up questions right after related cards were generated → prioritize conversational explanation, do not regenerate.

Generation judgment

Ask yourself three questions:

1. Is this content a stable knowledge point, rather than temporary chit-chat/a simple follow-up question?
2. Will the user want to look back at this material later?
3. Does the current context not yet have similar cards, or has the user explicitly requested new cards?

Only generate cards if most of the three are "yes"; otherwise use conversation.

First-round page count judgment

• Simple topic: 3 cards (concept, mechanism, example/application)
• Regular topic: 4 cards (concept, structure/process, key details, application/pitfalls)
• Complex topic: 5 cards (overview, sub-concepts, process/comparison, application, summary)

In the first round, at least 1-2 cards should explicitly require illustrations, flowcharts, comparison tables, or formula visualizations, so that the cards are rich in both text and images. For topics such as everyday life, geography, history, culture, structural/spatial relationships, and abstract analogies, prioritize the use of real illustrations; do not overly avoid image generation.

How to invoke

Each card carries only one concept:

content The more specific, the higher the card quality. Explain the presentation structure, but do not pile multiple sub-concepts into one card.
