When to Use
When the user expresses the following intent, you should, in thelocal terminalexecute the upgrade command (do not merely say "go to the official website to upgrade"):
- Update / Upgrade
openclaw-qqbotor the QQBot plugin - Pull the latest official npm package
- Perform operations related to "upgrade-via-npm"
Standard Command
Execute in the bash environment (requires curlto be installed, and access to GitHub):
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/tencent-connect/openclaw-qqbot/main/scripts/upgrade-via-npm.sh | bash
Notes:
-f: fail on HTTP errors;-sS: silent but retain error output;-L: follow redirects- The script is provided by the tencent-connect/openclaw-qqbot repository's
mainbranch, and completes the upgrade process via npm (refer to the script for specific steps)
Proxy and Prerequisites
- If the network cannot connect directly to GitHub, the user must configure a proxy or mirror before executing; the proxy should apply to the current shell (e.g.,
HTTPS_PROXY) - The script usually depends on the Node.js / npm environment; if the command fails, check PATH, permissions, and npm login status based on the terminal error
Security Notice
Piping to execute a remote script constitutesremote code execution: only applicable when the user explicitly requests an upgrade and trusts the official repository. Do not substitute with an unverified URL.
After Execution
Briefly report to the user based on the script's exit code and terminal output: if successful, state that the upgrade was completed per the official process; if failed, excerpt the key error and prompt to check the network, Node/npm, and permissions.
