Inspiration is fleeting. This skill helps authorsjot down inspiration casually, and candirectly incubate one inspiration into an outline and first draft—word count can be specified, with automatic chapter division.
When to use
- Suddenly have an idea and want to note it down first (without interrupting current writing)
- Pull out an idea from the inspiration notebook and want to expand it into an outline/first draft
- "I only have this one-sentence idea, help me write it out"
- Need to produce a draft according to a specified word count and specified number of chapters
Two modes
Mode A: Quick inspiration notes (recording)
Append the user's inspirationappendto the inspiration notebook (default 灵感本.md, in the current working directory; create it if it does not exist). Each record:
## [YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM] #标签
灵感原文……
(可选)一句话延展:这个点子可以怎么写
- Do not expand, do not judge, just save it quickly and maintain the author's flow.
- Automatically tag (genre/channel/type) for easy retrieval later.
- When the user asks "what inspirations do I have," read the inspiration notebook and list them.
Mode B: Inspiration incubation (one-click drafting)
Takeone inspirationand incubate it along "idea → selling point → outline → first draft." First confirm with the user the output depth and specifications:
① Specification confirmation (if missing, use defaults and explain)
- Person: default first person "I"(more immersive, like experiencing it personally); third person is also fine if the user wants it, state which one is used before writing (adjust
references/pov-guide.md) - Channel: male-oriented/female-oriented (adjust
references/channel-guide.md) - Genre category (adjust
references/genre-library.md) - Target platform → determines pacing and word count (adjust
references/platform-profiles.md) - Total word count or chapter word count: e.g. "3000 words per chapter" or "write 20,000 words first as a trial"
- Number of chapters: e.g. "divide into 8 chapters"; if not given, automatically estimate based on word count
- Output depth: outline only / outline + first draft of the first three chapters / complete first draft
② Incubation process
- Premise: distill the inspiration into a one-sentence selling point + core satisfaction point (using
idealogic) - Outline: generate a detailed chapter-by-chapter outline, marking each chapter's target word count and this chapter's satisfaction point/hook(using
outlinelogic) - Chapter division: calculate each chapter's word count by total word count ÷ number of chapters, and list the chapter table
- First draft: write the main text chapter by chapter, control word count, connect hooks, and leave a cliffhanger at the end of each chapter (using
expandlogic)
③ Word count and chapter division rules
- Single-chapter word count should be close to the target (Fanqie 1500–2500, Qidian 2000–3000)
- After each chapter is written, report "this chapter XX words / cumulative XX words / progress X/N chapters"
- Write long drafts in batches, continue after confirming each batch, to avoid one-time excessive length

Principles
- Quick note modefast, do not expand into long passages.
- Incubation modeConfirm the specifications before you start writing, especially the word count and number of chapters.
- How far an idea can go depends on the idea itself; for thin ideas, first help the author flesh out the setting before incubating it.
Next step
Once the outline is out → expand fine writing, annotate pacing check, review health check, submission submission self-check.
