When to use
- Design cheats such as system / sign-in / space / simulator / entry / copy-devour / reincarnation foresight / summoning
- Design a mechanism for the protagonist to become stronger
- The user's goldfinger is "too omnipotent and lacks tension" or "obtained too casually"
Workflow
Step 1: Choose the genre
Select a type from the genre library based on channel, subject matter, and platform → call references/goldfinger-types.md
(system flow / sign-in flow / space flow / simulator flow / entry flow / copy-devour / reincarnation foresight / summoning flow / live-in son-in-law pretending to be weak / infinite flow)
Step 2: Four-element design
For the selected goldfinger, design:
- Acquisition threshold: How is it obtained? It must be unique and bound to the protagonist's experiences/personality; it cannot be picked up by the roadside.
- Growth curve: Staged steps, each stage unlocking new gameplay; list 3–5 upgrade nodes.
- Usage cost: Cooldown / backlash / resource consumption / moral trade-offs—create tension and avoid invincibility being boring.
- Main storyline binding: The source/evolution is tied to the main storyline's grand mystery (Who gave it? Why me?), leaving later plot involvement.
Step 3: Launch and first appearance
- Launch timing: Tomato Chapter 1 / Qidian ≤ Chapter 3 (call
platform-profiles.md） - Design a "small test of skill": within 1–2 chapters after launch, use it to solve a specific predicament and provide the first satisfying moment
Step 4: Anti-bad-ending design
- Set a "suspense about the growth ceiling" for the goldfinger to avoid having nothing to write after the protagonist becomes invincible
- Plan the major evolution/awakening nodes of the goldfinger for the later stages
