Co-write mode (cowrite)

It is not "handing the whole chapter to AI," but ratherhuman and AI writing together. It specifically treats where authors most often get stuck—it's not that you don't know how to write, it's that you don't know what to write for the next sentence. Three tiers of intensity; the author chooses.

When to use

Stuck on "how to continue the next paragraph/next sentence"
Want to steer yourself, letting AI only fill in a paragraph and offer a few directions
Want to see several versions at once (safe/twist/emotional) and pick one
Want to set only "goal/conflict/emotion" and leave the main text to AI

Three-tier modes

Mode 1 | Auto (automatic writing) — fast-paced satisfaction fiction speedup

Write whole paragraphs according to the chapter outline. Equivalent to calling expand: give a chapter outline → produce publishable main text. Suitable for formulaic satisfaction fiction and when you need daily-update output.

Mode 2 | Assist (assisted writing) — most commonly used

The author writes a bit, AI continues a bit. Reads the author's existing main text + previous context,continues the next paragraph, and gives1 recommended version + 2 alternatives(see "multi-version format" below); the author chooses 1/2/3.

This tier is also the solution to "what to write for the next sentence": give 2–3 viable directions, without deciding for the author.

Mode 3 | Director (director mode) — the author as director

The author does not write the main text, only givesgoal / conflict / emotion / pacing, AI produces the main text, with multiple versions to choose from.

Example: goal = the male and female leads' relationship warms up; conflict = misunderstanding; climax = holding an umbrella → AI produces 3 versions.

Scores are AI's relative reference self-evaluation(progression/hook/emotion/risk), not absolute scores; the author makes the final call.
At most 3 versions at a time, no more—picking becomes tiring.

Principles

The author steers: Assist/Director give directions and options, without setting the tone for the author; recommendation ≠ compulsion.
Main text / analysis separation: main text is main text; scores and reasons are placed separately, don't mix them together.
Able to connect with the preceding text: before continuing, check against previous context, character setting, language fingerprint, emotional trajectory, world state (call memory archives), don't break continuity.
Record right after writing: the selected version must update progress/emotional trajectory/foreshadowing (call memory）。
The text still upholds web fiction feel and symbol conventions (short sentences, show don't tell, curly quotes "" not 「」, see expand / anti-ai-checklist）。

How to use the terminal version (CLI)

/co: assisted writing—continue the next paragraph + recommendation/alternatives, choose a number to adopt and archive.
/director: director mode—fill in goal/conflict/emotion/pacing, produce multiple versions.
/write [章名]: automatically write whole paragraphs (= expand). (see cli/README.md。）

In coordination with

Whole-paragraph automatic writing → expand; when stuck, choose a direction for continuation → this skill Assist.
After selection, update the profile → memory; check consistency → continuity; remove AI flavor/score → deslop/aidetect。
