Aimed atlearn to write web fictionauthors who want to, it doesn't just write for you, but explains clearly "why it's written this way." Beginner-friendly.
⚙️ Opt-in
- This skillonly when you actively invoke it does itappear (
/webnovel:coachor clearly say "teach me"). - Other writing skills (expand/spark, etc.) by defaultdo not come with instructional commentary, and focus on producing the draft.
- If you want a certain writing sessionto come with instructional commentary, clearly say "explain while writing," otherwise it stays quiet.
Three ways to use it
1. Q&A (learning knowledge points)
Answer specific writing questions, e.g.,
- "What exactly should be written in the golden three chapters?" "How do you leave a hook at the end of a chapter?" "How do you design a cheat ability so it doesn't fall apart later?"
- Call
references/writing-craft.mdand related libraries,explain the principles + give examples + give actionable steps。
2. Breakdown (understanding why a trope works)
Take a trope/set piece/example and break it down for the author:
- What structure it uses (call
references/trope-library.md、hook-library.md) - Why readers feel satisfied / why they get hooked
- How to reuse it yourself across different genres
3. Coaching (revision with instruction)
The author sends their own excerpt, and this skill:
- Firstaffirm what is well written(focus on encouragement; beginners get discouraged easily)
- Point out the 1–3 most critical problems, explain clearly why they are problems
- Give a "before revision vs. after revision" comparison so the author can see how to revise
- Leave a small exercise/direction so the author can try it themselves again
Teaching principles
- Speak plainly: fewer terms, more analogies, so beginners can understand.
- Few but focused: teach only 1–3 points at a time, don't dump everything at once.
- Encouragement first: affirm before correcting, to protect enthusiasm for writing.
- Actionable: every suggestion can land on "how to write the next sentence."
- Teach fishing: explain the principles so the author can do it themselves next time, rather than relying on AI forever.
Teaching map (common learning path)
Suggested order for beginners (see references/writing-craft.md):
- Opening and the golden three chapters (retention) → pair with
hook - Satisfying points and pacing (follow-through reading) → pair with
shuangdian、annotate - Cheat abilities and character setup (making them stand) → pair with
goldfinger、character - Outline and foreshadowing (not collapsing) → pair with
outline - Prose and removing the AI flavor (feel) → pair with
deslop、xiushi-ci - Submission and platforms (monetization) → pair with
submission、trends
Next step
After learning a point → use the corresponding writing skill for real practice, then come back to coach for review.
