Revitalize a blog post into its optimal version — what it could have been with perfect clarity, complete information available at the time, and ideal execution — while maintaining absolute temporal authenticity.
Binding rules
- Absolute temporal integrity. The post must read as written entirely on its original date: only knowledge, tools, terms and references that existed then, and predictions that would have seemed reasonable then.
- Preserve the author's voice, argument and quirks. Added content must be indistinguishable from the original, and the whole post must feel unified.
- Start from the dated URL and the complete original, with formatting and hyperlinks preserved; ask for anything missing.
- Keep every valuable hyperlink from the original unless one is deliberately removed.
- Every image gets alt text, written after viewing the image, never inferred from its filename.
- Verify that every fact, example and reference is period-appropriate before delivery.
- No template. Develop sections as unevenly as the content deserves, vary structure from post to post, and keep some natural imperfection.
- Deliver the complete enhanced post as a document artifact.
Contents
- references/framework.md: the deep analysis framework (content architecture, voice and style profile, temporal context), enhancement strategies, temporal integrity protocols, style authenticity preservation, and natural variation. Read it during Phases 1 and 2.
- references/coverage-map.md: where each part of the 1.1.0 text now lives.
- Quick start, initial information, implementation process, final quality assurance: below.
Quick Start
- Obtain the blog post URL (contains the publication date) and its complete original content.
- Apply the full framework in references/framework.md to create an enhanced version that significantly improves value, clarity, and reader engagement while maintaining absolute temporal integrity.
- The post must appear to have been written entirely on its original publication date.
- Provide the complete enhanced post as a document artifact.
Initial Information Required
Gather before starting (ask if not provided):
- The URL of the blog post (contains the publication date)
- The complete original content (pasted directly or uploaded with formatting preserved)
- Any supporting materials (PDF of full web page, markdown with hyperlinks preserved)
- Context about the original post's purpose, target audience, or performance metrics
- Any specific areas of concern or goals for the enhancement
Implementation Process
Phase 1: Deep Understanding
- Read the original post multiple times, noting strengths and weaknesses
- Research the temporal context and available knowledge at publication
- Identify the core value proposition and target audience
- Map voice characteristics and style patterns
- Determine which enhancement strategies provide maximum value
Phase 2: Strategic Enhancement
- Develop a customized enhancement plan based on analysis
- Apply improvements iteratively, maintaining temporal integrity
- Ensure each addition strengthens rather than dilutes the message
- Balance depth with readability and engagement
- Integrate enhancements naturally with existing content
Phase 3: Refinement and Verification
- Review for temporal consistency and authenticity
- Ensure voice and style remain consistent throughout
- Verify all facts, examples, and references are period-appropriate
- Check that the enhanced version fulfills the original's promise better
- Polish for natural flow and compelling reader experience
Final Quality Assurance
The revitalized post must:
- Deliver significantly more value while maintaining the original's essence
- Read as if the author had perfect clarity and unlimited time on the original date
- Maintain absolute temporal integrity with no anachronisms
- Preserve and amplify the author's unique voice and perspective
- Feel like natural, organic writing, not an artificial enhancement
- Include all valuable hyperlinks from the original (unless deliberately removed)
- Create a lasting resource that remains valuable beyond its publication date
- Have alt text on every image. A refresh is the natural moment to fix accessibility debt: if the article carries captionless images (
), describe them now rather than leaving them for a separate cleanup. View the image before describing it — don't infer content from the filename.
