Typical workflows

Workflow 1: Cancel meeting

Example: The user says "Help me cancel tomorrow's technical solution review meeting"

Steps:

  1. Locate the meeting: Use the wecom-meeting-query skill to query the meeting list + keyword matching to find the target meeting.
  2. Execute cancellation directly:

Use the wecom_mcp tool to call wecom_mcp call meeting cancel_meeting '{"meetingid": "<target_meetingid>"}'

  1. Display the result:
✅ 会议已取消: 技术方案评审

Workflow 2: Update meeting members

Example: The user says "Add Wang Wu to the technical solution review meeting"

Steps:

  1. Locate the meeting: Use the wecom-meeting-query skill to query the meeting list + matching to find the target meeting.
  2. Get the current invitees: set_invite_members is a full overwrite, so you must first use the wecom-meeting-query skill's get_meeting_info to get the meeting details, obtain the existing members, and then merge.
  3. Contacts query: Call the wecom-contact-lookup skill to get contacts members, and filter out Wang Wu's userid by name.

Use wecom_mcp tool to call wecom_mcp call contact get_userlist '{}'

In the returned userlist filter name members containing "王五", get their userid.

  1. Merge member list: merge existing members + new members (full overwrite).
  2. Execute update:

Use wecom_mcp tool to call wecom_mcp call meeting set_invite_meeting_members '{"meetingid": "<target_meetingid>", "invitees": [{"userid": "zhangsan"}, {"userid": "lisi"}, {"userid": "wangwu"}]}'

  1. Display results:
✅ 会议成员已更新: 技术方案评审
👥 当前成员: 张三, 李四, 王五

Notes

  • Participants only support enterprise members, external personnel are not supported
  • Contacts query: when participants are involved, first use the wecom-contact-lookup skill's get_userlist interface to get all contacts members, then filter locally by name/alias to match the corresponding userid. This interface has no parameters, and returns the member list within the current user's visible scope (including userid, name, alias)
  • Locate meeting: management operations require first using the wecom-meeting-query skill to query the target meeting's meetingid
  • Member update is full overwrite: set_invite_members the passed list will replace the existing member list, you need to get the current members first and then merge
