About this skill

@empjs/skill natural language invocation

Overview

Convert the user's natural language request into a eskill CLI command and execute it.

@empjs/skill is an enterprise-grade AI Agent skill distribution center that supports managing, distributing, and tracking skill chains across 18+ platforms. Official website link: https://skill.empjs.dev/#usage

Core Command Mapping

1. Install skills

User intent keywords: install, add, import, use a certain skill

Corresponding command:

eskill install <skill>
eskill add <skill>

Parameter description:

  • -a, --agent <name>: specify a particular Agent (such as claude, cursor, windsurf, etc.)
  • -l, --link: use link mode (used during local development)
  • -f, --force: force installation

Batch installation: When running eskill install . --link in a directory containing multiple skills, the system will automatically detect all available skills and provide an interactive selection interface, allowing the user to choose the combination of skills to install.

Example conversion:

  • "Install the wechat-publisher skill" → eskill install wechat-publisher
  • "Install a skill from GitHub" → eskill install https://github.com/...
  • "Install a skill for Cursor" → eskill install <skill> -a cursor

2. List skills

User intent keywords: list, view, display all skills, installed skills

Corresponding command:

eskill list
eskill ls

3. Delete skills

User intent keywords: delete, remove, uninstall a certain skill

Corresponding command:

eskill remove <skill>
eskill rm <skill>
eskill uninstall <skill>

4. View supported Agent platforms

User intent keywords: which Agents are supported, platform list, agents

Corresponding command:

eskill agents
eskill list-agents

Workflow

  1. Parse user intent: identify the type of operation the user wants to perform (install/list/delete/view)
  2. Extract key information: skill name, Agent name, special options, etc.
  3. Build command: build the complete eskill command based on the extracted information
  4. Execute command: execute the command using the appropriate tool (note the syntax differences in different shell environments)
  5. Return result: return the command output to the user

Supported AI Agent platforms

  • AMP、Antigravity、Claude Code、ClawdBot、Cline、Codex、Cursor、Droid
  • Gemini、GitHub Copilot、Goose、Kilo、Kiro CLI、OpenCode、Roo、Trae
  • Windsurf, Qoder, Continue, etc.

Example usage

Natural language request Executed command
"Help me install the wechat-publisher skill" eskill install https://github.com/steelan9199/wechat-publisher/tree/main/skills
"List all installed skills" eskill list
"Delete skill-creator" eskill remove skill-creator
"View which Agents are supported" eskill agents
"Install this skill for Cursor" eskill install <skill> -a cursor
"Symlink the skills in the current folder to [~/.emp-agent/skills/]" eskill install . --link
"Perform a link installation in the specified directory" Set-Location <directory>; eskill install . --link (PowerShell) or cd <directory> && eskill install . --link (bash)

Notes

  • The skill name can be an NPM package name, a Git URL, or a local path
  • Before installation, it is recommended to run eskill list to check whether a skill with the same name already exists
  • Use -f, --force The parameter can force reinstallation of existing skills
  • Use --link The parameter can install skills by linking from a local directory, suitable for local development
  • When linking and installing multiple skills, the system provides an interactive selection interface to choose which skills to install
  • When encountering the ENOTDIR: not a directory error, it is usually a problem with the target directory path, but it does not affect installation on other platforms
  • If you need to perform installation in a specific directory, make sure to use the correct path and command syntax
  • When using PowerShell in a Windows environment, the command connector should be;instead of&&, and directory switching should useSet-Locationinstead ofcd
