About this skill

soia-pkm-transform-article-slides

Convert articles, outlines, bullet lists, data tables, or topics into a presentable PPT / PPTX / HTML deck or courseware, generated in preserve(fully preserved) or learning(learning-oriented) mode.

Client-readable description

What this skill can do

Convert the following inputs into presentation artifacts:

  • Markdown / vault article or URL (URL is archived first)

  • Outline, bullet list, or meeting outline

  • Data table (with field meanings, time range, units, and the conclusion you want to express)

  • Topic (must also provide audience, goal, and known constraints)

  • Local HTML deck: generated purely locally, no external account needed, default option

  • PPTX: generated with python-pptx, can be opened directly with PowerPoint / Keynote

  • Open Design: optional enhancement, generates design-grade slides

  • NotebookLM PPT: optional, generates a courseware framework based on NotebookLM

Client wants Skill will do Client can see
Convert to PPT Generate PPTX or HTML deck, prompt saved to disk and rerunnable Output path, page/slide count, can be opened to confirm
Specify provider Follow the corresponding provider flow provider log
Execution complete Acceptance: files can be opened, no blank pages, no text overflow Completion receipt

How clients use it

  1. Provide the source (URL / vault path / local Markdown / outline / bullet points / data table / topic) and the audience/style; if only a topic is given, also state the goal and existing constraints.
  2. Optional: specify provider (local / open-design / notebooklm)。
  3. URL sources are clipped and archived first, then converted.

Dependencies and installation

npx skills add soia-team/soia-open-skills -g -a '*' -s soia-pkm-transform-article-slides -y
Path Dependency Behavior when missing
local None Usable with zero dependencies
notebooklm NotebookLM CLI and authentication Only that provider stops at the authentication/installation gate
open-design soia-dev-open-design-ops(hard dependency for that path) and its Open Design environment Stop that provider, give installation and environment check commands; do not pass it off as an Open Design result

soia-dev-open-design-ops is marked as optionalin this skill's frontmatter, because local and notebooklm paths do not depend on it; once the user selects provider=open-design, it is a hard dependency for that execution.

Logs and completion receipt

完成:<一句话>。

日志摘要:
- source: <路径或 URL>
- provider: local | open-design | notebooklm
- content_mode: preserve | learning
- prompt: <落盘路径>
- output: <文件路径>
- slides: <张数>

验证:
- 文件可打开
- 无空白页、无明显文字溢出
- prompt 已落盘可重跑

Boundaries

  • No content summarization, only format mapping;learning mode allows structural reorganization but does not compress core points.
  • The only way to fix image errors (text overflow, overlap): change the prompt and regenerate; directly modifying the bitmap is prohibited.
  • The prompt must be saved to disk at outputs/transform/<YYYY>/<stem>/prompts/ Guaranteed rerunnable.
  • Open Design / NotebookLM are optional providers. When no provider is specified, a local path may be chosen; when the user explicitly selects open-design but its atomic layer or environment is missing, stop that provider and explain the gap; do not silently degrade or claim that Open Design was used.

Workflow

  1. Confirm input and structure it: extract content from articles/URLs; organize hierarchy from outlines and key points; validate fields, units, and ranges in data tables and form arguments; for topics, first form a confirmable content outline. After completion, enter the same subsequent pipeline; for URLs, clip first.
  2. Determine content_mode: default preserve; if the user says "courseware/learning materials", change to learning。
  3. Select provider: user-specified > configuration > local HTML deck.
  4. Read references/prompt-ppt.md generate prompt, write to disk.
  5. Generate artifacts to outputs/transform/<YYYY>/<stem>/。
  6. Acceptance: can open, reasonable number of slides, no overflow, no blank pages.
  7. Receipt.
