About this skill

Primary Market Industry Research Report

Generate professional industry research reports in the style of institutional primary market (PE/VC) research.

Reference Sources

  • Type: Uploaded reference file (PDF)
  • Reference File Format:PDF
  • Language: Chinese or English (automatically detected based on the user query; defaults to the user's language)

Supported Output Formats

  • PDF (default)
  • DOCX
  • PPTX (only when explicitly requested)

Default Output: PDF. If the user explicitly requests DOCX or PPTX, output according to their request.

Workflow

  1. Understand the research scope: Determine the target industry, subtopics, depth, and page count based on the user query
  2. Determine the report style: Choose based on user preference or task context:
    • Style A (Deep Discussion): Opinion-driven, focused on TMT/technology, section numbering as 01, 02..., no table of contents
    • Style B (Traditional Industry): Data-intensive, rich in charts and graphs, with a multi-level numbered table of contents
  3. Plan the content structure: Use the corresponding structural specifications (see reference file)
  4. Research and data collection: Use web search and data source tools as needed
  5. Compile financing history: Search for key financing rounds, deal sizes, lead investors, IPO/exit events, and capital flow trends in the track. Data sources include Crunchbase, PitchBook, CB Insights, IT Juzi, Xiniu Data, and publicly disclosed transaction information
  6. Generate the report: Strictly follow the style specifications and structural specifications
  7. Completeness review: Ensure all charts and graphs are numbered, data sources are cited, and formatting is consistent

Style Selection Guide

Choose the report style based on context:

Judgment Dimension Use Style A (Deep Discussion) Use Style B (Traditional Industry)
Industry TMT, AI, software, SaaS Consumer, healthcare, industrials, materials
Tone Distinctive viewpoints, argument-driven Data-driven, objective and neutral
Charts and Graphs Moderate (native charts, benchmark comparison tables for AI research) Dense (pie charts, bar charts, line charts)
Table of Contents None Yes, three-level hierarchy + dot leaders + page numbers
Section Numbering 01, 02, 03..., red/dark red 1, 1.1, 1.2, 2.1..., black
Page Count Usually 15-25 pages Usually 30-60 pages

For detailed style rules, see references/style_contract.md。

Structural Templates

Two main structural patterns are provided. See references/structure_contract.md。

Style A Structure (In-Depth Discussion Type)

Cover Page:
  [White background]
[Institution logo (top-right): icon + institution name (bilingual)]
[Main title: bold KaiTi, left-aligned, large, dark-red accent underline]
  [Author line: "Cr.: [Author Name]"]
  [Date line: "Date: YYYY-Mon"]
  [QR code (right side)]

Executive Summary (~1 page)
  [Bordered/quoted paragraph block]

01 [Chapter Title]
  [Section Heading in red/dark-red KaiTi]
  [Subsection Heading in red/dark-red KaiTi]

Style B Structure (Traditional Industry Type)

Cover Page:
  [White background, ultra-minimal]
  [Full title: centered, KaiTi, large]
  [Institution logo: centered below title]
  [Institution name: centered below logo]
[Date: centered, bottom area (YYYY.MM format)]

Table of Contents (page 2-3)
[Title "目录": centered, large character spacing]
  [1 [Main Chapter]..................p3]
  [ 1.1 [Section]...................p3]

Content Pages:
[Header: report title centered + horizontal rule below]
  [Footer: page number]

Font Strategy

Chinese Reports

  • Headings: KaiTi — calligraphic style, highlighting institutional character
  • Style A Body Text: SimSun — formal serif style
  • Style B Body Text: STKaitiSC-Regular — consistent with the heading font family
  • Western Text: Times New Roman (body text + italics for source citations), Arial Bold (header emphasis)
  • Chart Labels: DengXian or Calibri (for English labels)
  • All document text paths uniformly use fonts that support CJK

English Reports

  • Headings: Georgia or Times New Roman — institutional-style serif font
  • Body Text: Times New Roman or Garamond — formal and easy to read
  • Chart Labels/Tables: Calibri or Arial
  • Header Emphasis:Arial Bold

General Rules

  • When reference fonts are unavailable, prioritize alternative fonts from the same visual family
  • In bilingual content, ensure CJK and Western fonts are harmonized in weight and size

Figure and Table Numbering

  • Figures: Numbered sequentially, caption below — "图 N" (Chinese) or "Figure N" (English)
  • Tables: Numbered sequentially, caption above — "表 N" (Chinese) or "Table N" (English)
  • Data source noted below each figure and table: "数据来源:xxx" (Chinese) or "Source: xxx" (English)
  • In Style B, renumber for each major section; in Style A, number continuously throughout the document

Source Citation Rules

  • Every data point, statistic, or assertion must have a source cited
  • In-text citations: indicate the source in parentheses or in a footnote
  • Figures and tables: note "数据来源:" (Chinese) or "Source:" (English) below each figure/table
  • Preferred sources: government databases, industry associations, disclosed documents of listed companies, reports by well-known analysts, authoritative media

Quality Checklist

  • The cover page precisely matches the selected style (Style A or B)
  • The color scheme is consistent with the selected style — no custom dark themes or modern gradients are used
  • All chapter/section numbering is consistent and follows the selected numbering rules
  • The table of contents has dot leaders and page numbers (Style B only)
  • All content pages have a header rule line (Style B)
  • All figures and tables are numbered and captioned
  • All data points have sources cited
  • Fonts are used consistently by language (CJK fonts for Chinese reports, serif fonts for English reports)
  • Table borders are clean: no vertical lines, borders above and below the header row, thick borders at the top and bottom of the table (Style B)
  • Institution/publisher identification appears in the document (logo area or header text)
  • No placeholder text remains in the document
