Typography Strategy
- Reference Fonts: Inter family (clean geometric sans-serif), UniversLTStd (Light, Bold), RobotoCondensed, ArialMT
- Visual Style: Clean, modern, compact sans-serif typography with clear weight hierarchy; geometric proportions consistent with typical institutional financial research style
- Fallback Font Strategy(when reference fonts are unavailable):
- Use clean geometric sans-serif fonts with Light/Regular/Medium/Bold weights
- Preferred: Inter, Noto Sans, IBM Plex Sans, or similar sans-serif fonts supporting CJK characters
- Compact headings: use Inter Condensed, Noto Sans Condensed, or narrow-width companion fonts
- Maintain the visual effect of lightweight body text and bold heading hierarchy
- All text within the document should use the same font family to ensure correct rendering of mixed Chinese and English text

Document Structure
For the complete section hierarchy, page arrangement rules, chart numbering conventions, and financial table styles, see references/structure_contract.md。
Main Structural Sections:
- Cover/Summary (Page 1) — two-column layout, including executive summary, key data, forecasts, factor analysis charts
- Financial Overview (Page 2) — valuation ratio table, growth/margins, stock price performance chart, financial statements
- Detailed Analysis (Pages 3-6) — tiered bullet-point commentary, segment business review, strategic updates, outlook
- Earnings Forecast and Valuation Changes — revised forecasts, target price, risks
- Chart Appendix — numbered variance summary, guidance table, financial model
- Disclosure Appendix — compliance and regulatory text
Workflow
1. Collect Input Information
Required information before writing:
- Company name, ticker, exchange
- Financial period under review (e.g., 4Q25, F4Q26)
- Actual reported data (revenue, EPS, EBIT/EBITDA, segment margins)
- Consensus expectations (FactSet / Visible Alpha / StreetAccount)
- Own (analyst) forecast (previous/updated)
- Company guidance (next quarter + full year)
- Key management commentary points from the earnings call or earnings release
- Current share price, 12-month target price, rating
2. Build the document structure
Organize according to the section order in references/structure_contract.md .
Key writing rules:
- Lead with the beat/miss on core metrics: state clearly at the start of the first paragraph whether the company beat or missed expectations on EPS, revenue, or key metrics
- Use bold for key financial data in the body text (e.g.,4Q25 revenue of $24.9 billion)
- Use a tiered bullet format: solid squares (level 1), hollow squares (level 2), solid diamonds (level 3)
- Compare each actual data point against own forecast, consensus, and company guidance (if any)
- Include margin commentary, with basis point/quarter-over-quarter/year-over-year comparisons
- Show earnings forecast changes with old and new values and percentage change
- Include valuation method, target price, and key risks (bullet list) at the end of the analysis section
3. Build the financial tables
The following tables need to be built:
- Page 2 financial overview: valuation multiples (P/E, EV/EBITDA, FCF yield), growth and margins (revenue growth, EBITDA growth, EPS growth, gross margin, EBIT margin), concise three-statement summary
- Chart appendix(each labeled "Chart N: [Title]", "USD millions, except per-share data"):
- Variance summary: actual vs. own forecast vs. consensus vs. company guidance, including year-over-year change %, with a variance explanation column
- Segment business variance (if applicable)
- Guidance summary: guidance low/high vs. consensus vs. midpoint variance
- Earnings forecast revision table: current vs. prior values by fiscal year, showing dollar variance and percentage variance
- Income statement model: quarterly columns (historical + forecast) with year-over-year growth rows
- Balance sheet and cash flow statement: quarterly/forecast data
- Number formatting: one decimal place for millions/billions, two decimal places for per-share data, one decimal place for percentages
- Use parentheses for negative numbers:
(10.5)rather than-10.5
4. Apply visual styling
Follow the full style specification in references/style_contract.md .
Quick reference:
- Page size: US Letter (8.5 x 11 inches)
- Margins: approximately 0.75 inches on all sides
- Body text: 10-11pt sans-serif regular weight
- Headings: 12-14pt bold, company name/report title 16-20pt
- Table body: 8-9pt, bold headers, dark blue background (#003087) with white text
- Colors: primarily black text on white background; dark blue for section emphasis; green for positive variance, red for negative variance
- Header: company name (left) + ticker (right), separated by a horizontal line
- Footer: date (left) + page number (right)
5. Output generation
Requirements for each output format:
- PDF: Preserve page layout, table styling, and typography as much as the rendering engine allows
- DOCX: Reproduce section hierarchy, tables, and formatting in native format to ensure editability
- PPTX: Convert to a management summary slide, covering only key beats/misses, guidance, and earnings estimate changes
