Yunxiao CLI

Alibaba Cloud Yunxiao DevOps command-line tool. Records the non-obvious pitfalls and required field rules of the Yunxiao API, helping you succeed in a single call.

Prerequisites

At least one of yunxiao MCP or aliyun CLI is required. MCP is preferred.

Do NOT proactively verify these tools on skill load. If a command fails due to a missing tool, directly guide the user through installation and configuration step by step.

When to Use

• Create/Manage MR: Create merge requests, update descriptions, and view lists on codeup.aliyun.com repositories
• Task management: Query/create/update task status, add comments
• Release management: Create Tags via the Yunxiao API

⚠️ aliyun devops ListRepositories is known to have SYSTEM_UNAUTHORIZED_ERROR issues; prefer using MCP tools to get the repository ID.

Top 5 pitfalls

The most commonly hit pitfalls; for complete rules see cheatsheet.md：

1. The repository ID field is Id(uppercase I) — jq Using .id will return null
2. Creating an MR requires providing sourceProjectId、targetProjectId、createFrom: "WEB"
3. Updating task status must use the REST API — aliyun devops POST /organization/.../workitems/updateWorkitemField
4. updateWorkitemPropertyRequest must be an array [{...}], and the field name uses fieldIdentifier/fieldValue
5. Before creating a task, you must query the required fields — different projects have different custom required fields
