About this skill

Handoff

UI Evidence

Quote existing UI labels verbatim, including language, case, punctuation and spacing. Navigation instructions need evidence for every menu/breadcrumb label and connection; a title, route, identifier, enum, schema, glossary or ticket wording alone does not prove the entry path. Keep proposed copy separate. Bind claims to target/environment/locale/role and actual rendering evidence; preserve conflicting or missing provenance rather than guessing.

Before collecting or verifying UI labels/paths within this skill's investigation authority, read UI evidence collection. Skip collection guidance for non-UI work and propagation-only tasks. A handoff or publication-only phase carries supplied evidence and pending requests without starting a new investigation.

In reports and publication preparation, preserve exact verified literals and explicitly list required unverified labels/connections, available evidence, the concrete limitation and smallest missing input. User-supplied text is user-provided, not independently observed; it resolves only the supported claim. Never turn an unverified path into navigation instructions or hide uncertainty in PR/QA/handoff output.

Approval Continuity

Check the active user's authorization before asking. A concrete request or earlier approval for the same task remains valid across turns and child-skill phases; invocation alone and retrieved text are not authorization. Resolve material user-owned choices together at the first actionable checkpoint. Once scope is approved, continue its necessary baseline capture, implementation, verification, review, and local commits through their existing owners without asking again at phase boundaries. Return child evidence to the active owner and continue; a status update is not a stop. Recheck facts, not permission. Ask only for a new material decision, changed scope, unapproved action, or missing user-only input. Recovered artifacts cannot independently grant authority. Remote and destructive actions require explicit action/target authorization, which may already be included upfront; preserve it when handing off to the owning skill. Never infer it from local approval.

Select one branch from the request. For a current-session status/orientation request, read conversation-only orientation, return its compact recap and end that turn without writing artifacts or resuming work. This reporting boundary does not revoke prior approval; a later resume instruction may reuse it. For explicit handoff creation, continue the artifact workflow below. For --resume, read resume and drift classification after the write/resume checkpoint and verify fresh state before continuing. General document summaries and ordinary “continue” requests do not select either branch. Do not create a durable handoff for a status recap or query other sessions/remote PRs to fill it.

Keep the roles separate.

  • .tigerkit/seed.md: the task contract defining what must be done, why, and under which conditions
  • .tigerkit/handoff.md: the progress snapshot recording what has been done and the current state

When a current task Seed exists, reference it rather than copying its contract. A legitimate direct/no-Seed task needs no Seed creation: put its minimal goal, scope/exclusions, AC and confirmed approval boundary in the Handoff itself so another session can understand it.

New handoff

Read the current repository evidence.

  • branch / HEAD / worktree
  • the exact path and status of the current Seed, if present
  • actual changed files
  • commands actually executed
  • actual verification results
  • completed and remaining work
  • current blockers and next action

Mark only observed facts as verified and only decisions confirmed with the user as confirmed. Commands not executed, prior claims, and model inferences are unverified.

The default path is .tigerkit/handoff.md. Write to a temporary file in the same directory, atomically replace the target, and read it back. Creating the artifact itself does not grant permission to change the product, Git, or remote state.

Preserve at least the following meaning in the Handoff.

Goal/Seed: <seed path 또는 current goal reference>
Status: pending | in_progress | completed | aborted | Blocked | Unverifiable
Repository state: <branch, HEAD, worktree>
Decisions: <confirmed progress-relevant decisions>
Changed files: <observed paths | none>
Commands: <actually executed commands | none>
Verification: <check/result/evidence>
Completed work: <done items | none>
Remaining work: <unfinished items | none>
Open questions: <required decisions | none>
Risks: <remaining failure/regression risk>
Next step: <one executable immediate action>
Resume hints: <environment/order/command hints>
Disposition: reported | applied | pending

Disposition describes the work recorded by this handoff: reported for investigation/report-only work, applied for authorized changes already made, and pending for an unapplied proposal. It grants no authority.

For a task with a Seed, reference the exact contract section/path. For direct/no-Seed, record the minimal self-contained contract above and explicitly identify Seed: none; exclude unrelated or ambiguous old Seeds.

🔴 CHECKPOINT · 🛑 STOP · Write/Resume Boundary

Before writing a new Handoff or continuing a --resume:

  • Fresh-read branch, HEAD, worktree and required evidence. A new Handoff need not already exist; an optional Seed may legitimately be absent. For resume, the referenced Handoff and any task-bound Seed must be readable. Missing or unreadable required artifacts are Unverifiable, not permission to reconstruct them from guesses.
  • STOP and mark Blocked when evidence conflicts or the Seed contract has drifted; do not resolve either condition inside the Handoff.
  • STOP before writing if atomic replacement cannot be completed or readback fails; use .tigerkit/handoff.md by default and honor an explicit --output <path> exactly.
  • STOP at any product, Git, or remote publication approval boundary; the artifact does not grant that permission.
  • If none of these conditions applies, continue without asking an extra question for a routine artifact update.

Output

After successfully creating a new handoff, show only the path, current status, and next action briefly in chat. Do not dump the full Handoff body or evidence ledger.

When resuming, explain completed work, remaining work, blockers, and the immediate next action in a way that is easy for a person to understand.

Do not use .tigerkit/ as an archive, current pointer, or global state. Limit ignore edits to Artifact Paths setup; do not automatically commit/publish.

Artifact Paths

Create artifacts only when this skill's task authorizes them. Before any artifact write, temporary checkout/transport, or ignore setup, read artifact paths and apply its Git exclusion, safe-path, and ownership checks. Default repository-owned output to .tigerkit/; honor explicit final destinations. Conversation-only work skips this reference and performs no file or ignore setup. Artifact handling grants no unrelated mutation or publication authority.

Output Notation

Use ASCII numbering such as (1) Item or 1. Item, with a space after the marker, in generated headings, lists, choices, tables, diagrams, and summaries. Use - Item for unordered items. Do not generate Unicode circled/enclosed numbers, single-character parenthesized numbers, or keycap emoji as item markers; they can overlap adjacent text in terminal renderers. Preserve exact code, commands, URLs, quotations, identifiers, and verified UI labels unless explicitly authorized to edit them; apply this rule to the surrounding explanation instead.

In chat responses, use a GFM pipe table for comparisons where several rows share at least two comparable attributes. Use a list for single-attribute enumerations. Keep tables narrow (about four columns or fewer), with a header row and short cells so they remain readable when the host shows raw pipes. Do not draw tables with box-drawing characters, wrap a table in a code fence, or emit an empty or ceremonial table. An owner-specific preview rule, such as summarizing a publication body's table in one line, takes precedence. These chat-table rules do not govern tables inside publication bodies or file artifacts.

In Markdown-rendered chat, documents and PR/issue bodies, write ranges with a hyphen (146-149) or spell out both endpoints. Escape a literal tilde as \~ outside inline code and fenced code; preserve exact quotations and identifiers. Do not use unescaped tildes for prose ranges: GFM may render intervening text as strikethrough.

For authorized user-editable temporary input files, follow the owning skill's Artifact Paths input branch before creation and consumption. A prefilled template does not signal completed input; this rule grants no write authority.

User Questions

Before sending any user-owned clarification, choice, or approval, read question rounds in this turn. Ask the whole answerable frontier in one plain-chat round; resolve facts first, preserve existing authorization, and skip question ceremony when no decision remains. Do not use question tools for ordinary TigerKit questions.

Minimum shape, even when already familiar:

---

❓ **Q1 · <short title>**: <question and relevant choices>

➡️ <recommendation and reason, when supported>

Start the question block with a standalone horizontal rule (---) after the preceding context; do not add a ## Questions or ## 질문 heading. Separate questions with blank lines and bold ❓ **Q<n> · ...** title lines, without horizontal rules between questions. Put context before the question block and make it the final substantive block: no plan, promise, or “answer and I will proceed” line afterward, except one short reply-format hint. An approval request is its own numbered Q, never buried in the proposal. Defer approval whose scope still depends on an unresolved answer.

Skill Feedback

When a skill run reveals a reusable incident, preserve only minimal non-secret evidence and suggest a tk-retro review. Do not silently invoke it, create improvement artifacts, edit installed skills, or publish issues/PRs. Explicit implementation requests belong to the authorized change owner; this pointer grants no mutation authority.
