About this skill

Skill Manager

Task Objectives

This Skill is used for full lifecycle management of skills, and all operations follow thethree-step process framework: consult information → execute operations → check acceptance.

Core Capabilities

  • Skill lifecycle management: create new skills, modify existing skills, version control
  • Documentation standard formulation: provide simple/complex skill documentation writing standards, guide hierarchical document organization
  • Skill integration: merge multiple skills into one new skill
  • Skill splitting: split a complex skill into multiple independent skills
  • Skill optimization: apply design patterns to improve skill quality

Optional Capabilities

  • Workflow generation: generate a standardized WORKFLOW.md based on skills (only used when multiple skills need to be orchestrated)

Trigger Conditions

Triggered when skills need to be created, modified, integrated, split, or optimized.

Three-Step Process Framework

All skill operations follow a unified three-step process:

│ 第一步:查阅信息 (Research) │

Scenario Operation Guide

Scenario A: Create a New Skill

Lifecycle: design → development → testing → release Reference Documents: scenario-create.md

Scenario B: Modify a Skill

Lifecycle: development → testing → release → maintenance Reference Documents: scenario-modify.md

Scenario C: Optimize a Skill

Lifecycle: design → development → testing → release Reference Documents: scenario-optimize.md

Scenario D: Integrate Skills

Lifecycle: design → development → testing → release Reference Documents: scenario-integrate.md

Scenario E: Split a Skill

Lifecycle: design → development → testing → release Reference Documents: scenario-decompose.md

Documentation Writing Standards

Simple Skills vs Complex Skills

Choose the appropriate document organization method based on skill complexity:

Simple skills(single function, simple logic):

  • Directly in SKILL.md fully describe all functions
  • Applicable to: utility skills, body text < 300 lines, no complex configuration required

Complex skills(multiple modules, complex logic):

  • SKILL.md serves only as an overview and index
  • Detailed content is split into references/ subfiles
  • Applicable to: multi-module collaboration, requiring detailed documentation, supporting multi-person collaboration

Judgment Criteria:

  • Number of functions: single function vs multiple sub-functions
  • Documentation size: < 300 lines vs ≥ 300 lines
  • Configuration complexity: simple vs complex
  • Dependencies: no dependencies vs requires orchestration

Detailed Standards: see skill-standards.md

Reference Documents

Document Purpose When to Use
skill-standards.md Standardized specifications + inspection guide + documentation writing standards Consult before all operations
scenario-create.md Scenario: Create a new skill When creating a skill
scenario-modify.md Scenario: Modify a skill When modifying a skill
scenario-optimize.md Scenario: Optimize a skill When optimizing a skill
scenario-integrate.md Scenario: Consolidate skills When consolidating skills
scenario-decompose.md Scenario: Split a skill When splitting a skill
workflow-generation.md Workflow generation (optional) When a workflow needs to be orchestrated

Precautions

  • Core principles: All skill operations must follow the three-step process of "review - execute - check"
  • Standardization first: Be sure to read skill-standards.md before creating/modifying a skill
  • Quality assurance: Standardized verification must be performed after each operation is completed
  • Version control: Important modifications require updating the version number and recording the changes
  • Backward compatibility: Try to maintain backward compatibility when modifying

Usage example

Example: Create a new skill (complete three-step process)

Requirement: Create a data cleaning skill

Step 1: Review information

1. 阅读 skill-standards.md

2. 阅读 scenario-create.md

Step 2: Execute operations

2. 编写 SKILL.md(包含完整元信息):
   ---
   name: data-cleaner
   version: v1.0.0
   author: skill-lifecycle
   tags: [data-cleaning, preprocessing, validation]
   ---

Step 3: Check and accept

  - name: data-cleaner(符合规范)
  - author: skill-lifecycle(存在)
