About this skill

story-webtoon-qc: output image QC

story-webtoon-artimages generated with determine whether it came out as instructedis the skill that does this. It checks 7 defect types along with locations and correction wording, and verifies vertical scroll spec compliance and consistency anchor violations. The default path is a single pass with its own checklist, and the scoring engine (moai-designer:design-iteration-loop) is attached as an option only when available.

1. Overview

This skill looks at **"did the drawn artwork come out as instructed"** — a layer of image defect judgment distinct from text narrative audit (story-continuity-auditor) or copy QC. It triggers when the user uploads result images and requests QC.

2. What this skill does not do

  • Does not run in an automatic v1→v2→v3 loop. Only when the user calls for QC, it fixes only the prompts of problematic cuts.
  • Does not execute image generation/regeneration — it returns correction prompts, and actual regeneration is story-webtoon-art → moai-media.
  • Does not perform text narrative QC — dialogue and plot continuity are story-continuity-auditor(agent, Claude Cowork exclusive) / text regular chain. In ChatGPT Work, the corresponding QC is performed by splitting it into natural language requests.
  • No mandatory dependency on gan-loop — the scoring engine is an optional extension (§4-2). When unavailable, it falls back to its own checklist.

3. Trigger conditions

  • When the user uploads generated result images and requests corrections.
  • If they don't upload and say "it's all good" → the QC step is already finished. Do nothing.

4. Workflow

Step 1 — Check the 7 defect types

Check the 7 defect types in a [defect | check location | correction wording] table. Vertical scroll substitutions (panel shape flattening → cut height rhythm collapse, cut count regression → margin band loss) and consistency anchor violation judgment are references/defect-checklist.md.

Step 2 — Crop zoom verification

Thumbnails miss things. Weapon count, left-right flip, and speech bubble clipping look fine in the full thumbnail (2 misjudgments measured in practice). Crop and zoom only the suspect cuts to verify. The methodology is references/qc-method.md.

Step 3 — Vertical spec compliance

  • Check the vertical scroll canvas width and whether margin bands are retained (the spec is story-webtoon-spec:manuscript-specs.md).
  • Check whether the cut height rhythm is alive (whether it has regressed to uniform heights) and whether margin bands have been lost.

Step 4 — Consistency anchor violation judgment

story-character-sheetBased on the consistency anchors defined by (e.g., "silver hair + mole under left eye"), 0 violationsjudge whether this is the case. Point out cuts where the anchor wavered.

Step 4-2 — Scoring engine (optional · when available)

If available, moai-designer:design-iteration-loop + rubric-image.md Submit the Must-Pass 4 items for repeated scoring. Submission items and unavailable fallback procedure are references/rubric-bridge.md.

⚠️ gan-loop may not work in the current Desktop environment (.moai/config dependency · user-invocable:false). Not a required dependency — if unavailable or invocation fails, silently fall back to the default path (Step 1–4 self-checklist 1 pass), and notify the user with only one line: "Scoring engine unavailable → reviewed with self-checklist".

Step 5 — Revision output (tunnel vision prevention)

  • Only that cut's prompt fix it and return it for copy-paste. Do not touch other cuts.
  • Notify in one line what was fixed and why.
  • Before submitting the revision, pass the entire checklist again— ensure both "what was fixed + what was originally good" are maintained (tunnel vision prevention). Details in references/qc-method.md.

5. Output format

6. Precautions

  • Do not trust thumbnails → crop and enlarge. Detailed defects are visible only when enlarged.
  • Some defects cannot be addressed by merely specifying rules(dual check) — specify down to the hands + re-enlarge after regeneration (two-stage defense).
  • No tunnel vision. While fixing one defect, others (such as cut height rhythm) get missed — re-pass the entire checklist before submission.
  • Do not make gan-loop a required dependency. Default is the self-checklist.
