Overview
This is a specialized skill that integrates searches for papers across major academic databases such as RISS, KCI, DBpia, and Google Scholar, and systematically organizes bibliographic information and citation formats. It supports prior research investigation, literature review, and reference organization.
Trigger Keywords
- Paper search, find papers, literature search
- Prior research investigation, literature review, find related research
- RISS search, KCI papers, DBpia
- Academic journals, theses, research papers
- Reference organization, citation information
Workflow
Step 1: Check API Key
A KCI paper search API key is required:
IF KCI_API_KEY 미설정:
"KCI 논문 검색을 위해 API 키가 필요합니다.
발급 방법 (간편):
1. https://www.data.go.kr/data/3049042/openapi.do 접속
2. 활용신청 → 자동승인 → 키 발급
API 키를 입력해 주세요 (또는 '건너뛰기'로 웹검색만 사용):"
→ '건너뛰기' 시: RISS/DBpia/Google Scholar 웹검색으로 진행
→ 키 입력 시: ${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_DATA}/moai-credentials.env에 KCI_API_KEY 저장
Step 2: Establish Search Strategy
- Extract core keywords (search simultaneously in Korean + English)
- Determine search scope (domestic/international, year filter)
- Field filter (KCI classification code)
- Determine search source priority
Step 3: Execute Integrated Search
| Search Source | URL | Search Method | Features |
|---|---|---|---|
| KCI | open.kci.go.kr | REST API (WebFetch) | Citation index, journal evaluation (API key required) |
| RISS | riss.kr | WebSearch | Theses, linked to overseas DBs |
| DBpia | dbpia.co.kr | WebSearch | Academic journals in all fields |
| Google Scholar | scholar.google.com | WebSearch | Global academic search |
⚠️ Check the exact base URL, parameters, and operation names for each API against the issuer's development guide (the hosts in the table are for reference, and for KCI etc., the host may differ when going through data.go.kr).
KCI API call example (when a key is available):
GET https://open.kci.go.kr/po/openapi/openApiSearch.kci
?apiCode=articleSearch
&key={KCI_API_KEY}
&title={검색어}
Step 4: Organize Search Results
- Paper list (title, author, journal, year, citation count)
- Select 3-5 key papers and summarize abstracts
- Identify research trends (yearly trends, key researchers)
- Organize references (BibTeX, RIS, text format)
Step 5: Suggest Follow-up Tasks
- "Paper writing" → linked to moai-research:paper-writer skill
- "Reference format conversion" → automatically generate APA/KCI/IEEE format
Usage Examples
"딥러닝 기반 이미지 분류 관련 논문을 찾아줘. 최근 5년 내로."
"자연어 처리 선행연구 조사해줘. 특히 트랜스포머 모델 관련."
"KCI 등재 학술지에서 '머신러닝' 키워드 논문 검색해줘."
"의료 영상 진단 관련 연구 동향 파악해줘."
Output Format
- Paper list table (title, author, journal, year, citation count)
- Key paper summaries (based on abstracts)
- Research trend analysis (yearly trends, key researchers)
- Reference organization (selected format: BibTeX, RIS, text)
Precautions
- If there is no KCI API key, use web search instead. Web search may have lower result counts and accuracy compared with the API.
- A KCI API key can be issued free of charge at data.go.kr (automatic approval after application for use).
- Depending on your academic database access permissions, you may not be able to view the full text of some papers. In this case, only bibliographic information is provided.
- If you need to write a paper, you can link to the moai-research:paper-writer skill to automatically generate citation formats for references.
