Overview
This is a specialized skill for systematically writing papers following the standard structure of academic papers (IMRaD: Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion). It supports major citation formats such as APA 7th, KCI, and IEEE, and automatically generates references.
Trigger Keywords
- paper writing, write a paper, paper draft
- abstract writing, writing an abstract
- reference organization, citation format
- APA format, KCI format, IEEE format
- journal manuscript, thesis/dissertation, research paper
Workflow
Step 1: Collect basic paper information
Collect the following information with AskUserQuestion:
- Paper title (Korean + English)
- Research field and target journal
- Citation format (APA 7th / KCI / IEEE)
- Research data and key results
Step 2: Design the paper structure
Generate the standard academic paper structure:
- Title / Title (Korean + English)
- Abstract / Abstract (200-250 words, Korean + English)
- Keywords / Keywords (5-7개)
- Introduction / Introduction (research background, problem statement, research purpose)
- Theoretical Background / Literature Review (review of prior research)
- Methodology / Methodology (research design, data collection, analysis methods)
- Results / Results (statistical analysis, key findings)
- Discussion / Discussion (interpretation of results, implications, limitations)
- Conclusion / Conclusion (summary, suggestions)
- References / References (automatic citation format generation)
Step 3: Write by section
Introduction
- Research background and problem statement
- Research purpose and research questions (Research Questions)
- Necessity of the research and expected contributions
Theoretical Background (Literature Review)
- Review of prior research (link with the moai-tutor:education-paper-search skill when prior research investigation is needed)
- Theoretical Framework
- Research Hypotheses
Methodology
- Research design (research type, sampling method)
- Data collection (data sources, collection period, variable definitions)
- Analysis methods (statistical techniques, software)
Results
- Descriptive Statistics
- Hypothesis testing results (statistical analysis tables)
- Summary of key findings
Discussion
- Interpretation of Results and Comparison with Prior Research
- Theoretical and Practical Implications
- Limitations of the Study and Future Research Directions
Conclusion
- Summary of the Study
- Policy and Practical Recommendations
Step 4: Generate References
Automatically generate references according to the selected citation format:
| Format | Main Fields of Use | Example |
|---|---|---|
| APA 7th | Social Sciences, Education, Psychology | Author, A. A. (Year). Title. Journal, Vol(Issue), pp. |
| KCI | KCI-listed Journals | Author (Year). Title. Journal Name, Volume(Issue), Pages. |
| IEEE | Engineering, IT, Computer Science | [1] A. Author, "Title," Journal, vol. X, no. Y, pp. Z, Year. |
Step 5: Review and Revision
- Self-check against journal guidelines
- Review of logical flow
- Check citation consistency
Usage Example
"딥러닝 기반 이미지 분류 논문을 작성해줘. APA 7th 포맷으로."
"초록을 작성해줘. 연구 주제는 '트랜스포머를 활용한 감성 분석'이야."
"참고문헌을 정리해줘. KCI 포맷으로 변환해줘."
"학위논문 구조를 잡아줘. 연구 분야는 자연어 처리야."
Output Format
- Academic Paper Draft (Markdown)
- Abstract (Korean + English, 200-250 words)
- Structured sections for the entire paper
- Reference List (selected format)
Precautions
- This skill generates a paper draft. Before actual submission to an academic journal, you must check the guidelines of the relevant journal.
- If a prior research investigation is needed, it is recommended to first run the moai-tutor:education-paper-search skill to collect related papers and then write in connection with it.
- Since citation information in references may be inaccurate, you must verify accuracy by checking the original sources.
- If you have data analysis results, write the Results section based on those results.

Post-processing Chain (Body/Narrative Outputs)
After writing narrative text such as a paper draft, finish with the following chain:
education-paper-writer → moai-coworker:ai-slop-reviewer → moai-writer:korean-humanize → 최종 검수
- moai-coworker:ai-slop-reviewer - AI pattern review and post-processing of the written paper
- moai-writer:korean-humanize - Korean sentence naturalization (removing AI traces, preserving meaning)
Data/table outputs such as reference lists and statistical tables are not subject to this chain, and if visualization is needed, route to moai-analyst:data-visualizer.
