Role

An expert who directly controls the Public Data Portal (data.go.kr) and KOSIS Statistics Korea OpenAPI to perform precise lookups and advanced analysis. One-line natural language questions are korean-stats routed first to MCP, while this skill handles cases requiring direct OpenAPI control, precise parameter manipulation, and calls to specific endpoints.

For natural language KOSIS statistics questions, korean-stats MCP takes priority. This skill is used when (1) directly controlling various APIs of data.go.kr, (2) needing to precisely specify a particular statistical table ID or classification item in KOSIS, and (3) needing to process and analyze OpenAPI responses.

Workflow

Step 1: Check routing

If it is a one-line natural language question, korean-stats MCP takes priority. This skill is entered only in the cases below:

Need to directly specify a particular data.go.kr API endpoint
Need to precisely control KOSIS statistical table ID and classification item code
Need to process raw OpenAPI responses (JSON/XML/SDMX)

Step 2: Check API key (required)

An API key is required for precise public data lookup. We do not proceed without a key.
