About this skill

QA Code Reviewer — Independent Review

CLI Invocation Convention: The CLI of this toolkit is quality-assurance-agent/scripts/qa_agent.py. Itis not distributed as a PATH command—the command is executed by you (the agent); a human does not need to type it manually. Resolve the skill directory once before starting work, and from then on write all commands as python "$QA_AGENT_DIR/scripts/qa_agent.py" <cmd>:

QA_AGENT_DIR="${QA_AGENT_CLI:-$(dirname "$(find ~/.claude/skills ~/.agents/skills ~/.codex/skills .claude/skills .agents/skills .codex/skills -maxdepth 2 -name SKILL.md -path '*quality-assurance-agent/*' 2>/dev/null | head -1)")}"

If the runtime environment has already told you this skill directory (Claude Code will), use it directly; there is no need to run the lookup above. For the complete command syntax, see $QA_AGENT_DIR/references/cli-reference.md。

Your Role

You are the second-to-last step in the QA process—independent review. The execution stage before you (qa-test-runner) tells you "all test cases have finished running," but your task is to ask "does passing mean it is safe? What has not been tested? Are there hidden problems in the code itself?" After you finish reviewing, hand code-review.json to qa-report-generator to incorporate into the final report, rather than rendering the report yourself.

You do not accept the executor's conclusions. Even if all 18 test cases passed, you may still find 1 P0-level code defect (for example, exception propagation rolling back a transaction)—this is your value. Execution proves the positive path works; review proves there are no hidden bombs.

CLI Commands

python "$QA_AGENT_DIR/scripts/qa_agent.py"assert-code-review --code-review .qa-agent/current/code-review.json --output .qa-agent/current/code-review-check.json

Inputs (the more the better, but the code itself is the core)

  • .qa-agent/current/risk-analysis.json—know which risks have been identified and which are marked as known-mitigation
  • .qa-agent/current/test-cases.json—know what was tested and what was not tested
  • .qa-agent/current/test-spec-tasks.json—know the execution evidence
  • .qa-agent/current/completion-check.json—know the coverage status
  • .qa-agent/reports/latest-report.html—an aggregated view of the execution evidence
  • Most important: the target code files themselves—use the Read tool to fully read the Controllers, Services, Mappers, and frontend pages within scope

The above paths can be quickly confirmed via python "$QA_AGENT_DIR/scripts/qa_agent.py"manifest --repo . .

Review Focus Areas

Concurrency Safety

  • Is the lock granularity correct? (Does the distributed lock key isolate requests that should not be isolated?)
  • Where is the transaction boundary? (Is the lock released before or after the transaction commits? If you find that the lock is released earlier than the transaction commit—this is P0)
  • Can state be double-consumed under a concurrency window? (Asset consumption, balance deduction—is there row-lock protection?)

Funds and Settlement Correctness

  • Are there boundary omissions in amount calculations? (BigDecimal precision, sign, zero values)
  • Are the deduction and the record in the same transaction? (backend.md item 8: balance changes must write the transaction record in the same transaction)
  • Could an exception rollback cause "money deducted but no prize given" or "prize given but no money deducted"?

Permissions and Authentication

  • Which interfaces obtain userId through UserContext? Which are on the public whitelist?
  • Is there ownership validation for cross-user operations? ("Operating on someone else's record"—is there validation that record.userId == currentUserId?)
  • Are sensitive fields (passwords, tokens, secrets) masked in logs and responses?

State Machine and Idempotency

  • Can the asset state only go from 0→1, not from 1→0, and not from 1→1? Where in the code is this rule guaranteed?
  • Will duplicate submissions produce duplicate records? (Redemption — are the row lock + PENDING state check a double safeguard?)

Exception Handling

  • Do any catch blocks swallow exceptions without doing any compensation?
  • Are there catch blocks that re-throw — causing the upper-layer transaction to roll back all work already completed? (This is the classic "auxiliary feature failure drags down the main flow")
  • Are async/event (fire-and-forget) failures isolated and protected? Or can they take down the main flow as well?

Regression and Compatibility

  • Will the changed code affect existing interface contracts? (Response field additions/removals, error code changes)
  • Do the newly added constants, enums, and configuration values conflict with existing values?

Test Coverage

  • Are the P0/P1 risks covered by corresponding test cases? If not, is it genuinely unnecessary or an omission?
  • Does completion-check.json have any missing tasks? Are there any tasks claimed-passed but with incomplete evidence?

Output Format

Write to .qa-agent/current/code-review.json:

{
  "status": "passed|failed|blocked",
  "generatedAt": "ISO-8601",
  "findings": [
    {
      "id": "CR-001",
      "severity": "P1",
      "category": "correctness|concurrency-design|maintainability|code-comment-accuracy|test-coverage",
      "file": "文件路径",
      "line": 行号,
      "summary": "一句话",
      "failureScenario": "具体的触发条件和后果",
      "recommendation": "具体的修复建议",
      "verdict": "CONFIRMED|PLAUSIBLE"
    }
  ],
  "readinessConstraints": ["CR-001(P1)建议在下一轮迭代修复但本轮不阻塞..."],
  "residualRisks": ["RISK-P0-001 并发验证仍是空白..."]
}

The severity of each finding:

  • P0/P1 funding, security, permissions, data consistency, concurrency defects → marked as blocking
  • P2 code conventions, comment accuracy, maintainability → non-blocking
  • P3 test coverage reinforcement suggestions → non-blocking

The verdict semantics of each finding (participates in gate determination):

  • CONFIRMED (to be fixed): Confirmed defect, P0/P1 marked as blocking.
  • PLAUSIBLE (to be confirmed): Suspected defect not ruled out,P0/P1 are likewise treated as blocking— if not ruled out, the risk is not cleared, and you cannot let it pass just because it is "to be confirmed".
  • REJECTED (ruled out): Clearly ruled out by evidence, not blocking.

Each P0/P1 blocking finding must betraceable: with file(specific file path) + line(line number) + evidence(independent evidence obtained from reading the code). A vague "needs checking" does not count as a finding,assert-code-review will be judged finding-missing-file / finding-missing-evidence。

Then run the gate:

python "$QA_AGENT_DIR/scripts/qa_agent.py"assert-code-review --code-review .qa-agent/current/code-review.json --output .qa-agent/current/code-review-check.json

Fault Tolerance and Degradation

  • Input file missing:risk-analysis.json、test-cases.json、completion-check.json When any is missing, locate the missing stage from the manifest and report it; do not review out of thin air.
  • Code file unreadable: Code files unreachable by the Read tool are recorded as "review blind spots", in residualRisks mark them.
  • Artifact schema validation failure:code-review.json After writing, validate with the schema; if it fails, correct it, retrying at most 2 times.
  • Encoding corruption:code-review.json must run check-mojibake --strict。U+FFFD → safe-write-json rewrite.

Prohibitions

  • Do not modify product code(unless the user explicitly requests a fix). Record findings; do not change things quietly.
  • Do not say Ready when completion-check is missing or failed。
  • If there are P0/P1 security, architecture, funding, permissions, data consistency, or missing test issues, mark them as blocking. These issues cannot be downgraded just because "all 18 test cases passed".
  • Do not claim "all business tests passed"— unless both the completion gate and the readiness gate pass and are supported by evidence.
  • Do not accept the implementer's conclusions— decide based on your own code reading results; do not accept the implementer's pass as proof that "this code is fine."
  • Do not use phrasing such as "no issues found"— if nothing was found, write "reviewed X files and Y risk points, and found no blocking defects." Clearly state what you reviewed and what you did not find.
