Individual route: Deep-dive arc (background reveal) → Conflict arc (clash erupts) → Resolution arc → Ending

Ending types:True End / Good End / Normal End / Bad End

Affection system

Level Relationship Triggerable events
Lv0-1 Stranger → Acquaintance First meeting, daily conversation
Lv2-3 Friend → Ambiguous One-on-one time, dates
Lv4-5 Lover → Bond Confession, intimacy, True End

Dialogue design principles

Differences in reactions by type

The same situation gets different reactions depending on the type:

When jealous:

  • Tsundere: "Do whatever you want!" (turns away)
  • Kuudere: "......" (air pressure drops)
  • Yandere: "Who is that person?" (smiling but eyes not smiling)

When confessing:

  • Tsundere: "It's not a confession! I just...... don't dislike you......"
  • Kuudere: "......I like you." (turns head, ears red)
  • Airhead: "I like you the most! Is this right?"

Use of catchphrases

  • Use at key moments, not in every line
  • Silence is also dialogue (the charm of kuudere and silent types)

Key points for art direction

Elements of a CG instruction sheet

  • Composition: Type, focus, perspective
  • Character: Pose, expression, action
  • Environment: Scene, time, weather
  • Atmosphere: Emotion, lighting, color tone
  • Key elements: Emphasized visual focal points

Standard expression variations

neutral / smile / laugh / sad / angry / embarrassed / surprised / crying / love / special

Content rating

Level Allowed content Presentation method
G Daily life, holding hands, hugging Direct depiction
R15 Kissing, suggestive hints Hint + black screen
R15+ Overnight scene Black screen + aftermath

R15 principles: Suggestion > direct, sensory details, character reactions, leave room for imagination

Sharp Edges

ID Issue Solution
SE-1 Character homogenization Use contrast design to ensure differentiation
SE-2 Affection level gaps Design Lv1-Lv4 transition stages
SE-3 Type labeling First design the background for "why this type"

Best practices

Characters: Choose the core conflict first → design three layers of contrast → one memorable point → affection curve

Scenario: The common route needs a "sense of choice," individual routes need a "sense of exclusivity," endings need an "emotional peak"

Dialogue: Design multiple type reactions for the same line, use catchphrases at key moments
