This skill defines the basic rules for the body structure and instruction writing of SKILL.md.
For naming and placement, refer to kf-g-skill-naming-creation-organization-rules; for the overall creation procedure, refer to skill-creator .
Basic Rules (Overview)
- Mandatory procedures in affirmative form: Write instructions for start conditions, procedures, and output conditions in the form "always do this"
- description is the application gate: frontmatter
descriptioncontrols whether it applies - SKILL.md is a table of contents: Focus on how to read through and the reference table of contents, and separate details into references
Reference Files

- references/positive-instruction-style.md — When starting: When writing or revising instructions into mandatory procedures in affirmative form
- references/description-as-gate.md — When starting: When preparing the description as the application gate
- references/when-to-use-section.md — When starting: When deciding whether the body "When to Use" section is necessary and where to place it
- references/toc-and-references.md — When starting: When turning SKILL.md into a table of contents and separating details into references
Minimal Application Procedure
- references/overview.md to check the basic rules and scope of application
- Open one or more of the above reference files according to what you are starting
- Organize SKILL.md and references with a structure that satisfies each basic rule
- Judge completion using the "Final Check" below
Final Check
- The procedures in the body are in affirmative form for start conditions, execution procedures, and output conditions
- The application conditions are written in frontmatter
description, and the body is allocated to execution procedures - If there is a "When to Use" section, it is limited to supplementary information for the description (details, boundaries, examples)
- SKILL.md focuses on the table of contents and how to read through, and details can be reached via Markdown links
- Only principle details are placed in references, and application conditions are consolidated into the description
