If Chinese is mixed with non-Chinese, the standard for using Chinese symbols is:

  • If it is a non-paired punctuation mark (such as a comma, period, etc.), then when it appears after a Chinese character, use Chinese punctuation; when it appears after a non-Chinese character, then according to the language to which that character belongs, absolutely use the punctuation of that language
  • If it is a paired set of punctuation marks (such as single quotation marks, double quotation marks, angle brackets for book titles, parentheses, etc.), then if the first non-empty character or the last non-empty character of this part of the content is Chinese, use Chinese punctuation marks

Other notes:

  • Use a half-width space to separate Chinese punctuation marks from non-Chinese punctuation marks
  • You need to judge for yourself whether to use Chinese punctuation marks or non-Chinese punctuation marks in other cases, and be sure to maintain context consistency, but at the same time conform to the document's own rules (for example, Chinese punctuation must not be used indiscriminately in code)
  • Do not use this skill in shell scripts, Javascript scripts, Python scripts, or other scripts or command-line instructions
