Supported platforms: Amazon、Shopify、WooCommerce、Walmart、TikTok Shop、Etsy、eBay、BigCommerce。
How to use
计算我产品的所有FBA成本:14 x 10 x 3英寸,重1.8磅,售价34.99美元。预计月销300件。
Features
- FBA fee calculation (fulfillment, monthly storage, long-term storage)
- Volumetric weight calculation for FBA size tier assignment
- Estimate FBM shipping by carrier and method
- Storage cost forecasting (monthly and peak season)
- Removal and disposal fee calculation
- FBA vs FBM per-product cost comparison
- Inbound shipping estimate (partnered carrier vs own)
How it works
Step 1: Gather information from the user message — product, platform, current situation, and goals.
Step 2: Ask all follow-up questions at once in multiple-choice format. Allow shorthand answers (e.g., "1b 2c 3a").
Step 3: Use the framework and methodology below for research and analysis.
Volumetric weight and size tier system
The Amazon FBA fee structure is based on product size and weight:
Actual weight vs volumetric weight:
- Volumetric weight = length × width × height / 139 (inches) or length × width × height / 5000 (centimeters).
- Amazon charges based on the greater of actual weight and volumetric weight.
- Light but bulky products (such as pillows) may be charged based on the higher volumetric weight.
Size tiers:
- Small standard: Maximum longest side 15", maximum 12 oz.
- Large standard: Maximum longest side 18", maximum 20 lb.
- Large bulky 1: Maximum longest side 60".
- Large bulky 2: Maximum longest side 120".
- Special oversize: Over 120".
Tier threshold effect: When a product's size/weight is near a tier boundary, small changes can cause large fee jumps. For example, an 18.1" product enters the large bulky 1 tier — the fee may be several dollars higher than an 18" standard product. This skill identifies threshold risks and provides optimization suggestions.
Complete FBA fee structure
Monthly storage fees:
- Standard size: $0.87/cubic foot (Jan-Sep), $2.40/cubic foot (Oct-Dec peak season).
- Large bulky: higher rates.
- Longer storage time = more fees accumulate.
Long-term storage fees:
- After 271 days: $6.90/unit or $0.15/cubic foot (whichever is greater).
- After 365 days: double the rate.
- Long-term storage is the "silent killer" of slow-moving inventory.
Removal/disposal fees:
- Removal: from $0.99/unit (standard).
- Disposal: from $0.97/unit.
- Calculate the economic comparison of removal fees vs long-term storage.
FBA vs FBM cost comparison model
FBA advantages:
- Higher Buy Box win rate.
- Faster shipping (Prime badge).
- Lower order processing labor costs.
- Amazon handles returns/refunds.
FBM advantages:
- No monthly/long-term storage fee risk.
- Higher profit per unit (no FBA fulfillment fees).
- Full control over inventory turnover.
- Better suited for large/heavy products or slow-moving inventory.
Decision key:
- Fast-moving products (high monthly sales): FBA is usually more cost-effective. High turnover avoids long-term storage fees + the FBA Buy Box advantage significantly boosts sales.
- Slow-moving products or large/heavy products: FBM may be more economical.
Data sources
- FBA fee calculation parameters are based on Amazon's official size tiers and rate card.
- The volumetric weight formula uses Amazon's official standard.
- Monthly storage, long-term storage, and removal/disposal fees come from Amazon's FBA fees help page.
- User-provided: product physical specifications (including packaging), expected monthly sales, target shipping region.
Limitations
- Fee calculations depend on the product dimensions/weight provided by the user. If packaging is not included, the actual billable dimensions may differ.
- Amazon FBA fees are adjusted periodically (usually in January). This skill uses the latest published rates — verify current rates in Seller Central.
- Inbound shipping cost estimates are based on partner carrier standard rates — actual costs may vary due to fuel surcharges, remote area fees, and seasonal fluctuations.
Step 4: Provide structured, actionable output with specific recommendations, not vague guidance.
Output format
- Give a summary of findings first
- Include specific data points and benchmarks (if any)
- Provide prioritized action items
- Estimates based on incomplete data must be marked ⚠️
- End with specific next steps
