Qinyan Academic - Literature Citation

Overview

This skill retrieves literature metadata through the Qinyan Academic OpenAPI and generates standardized cited references in the standard format specified by the user. It supports mainstream citation formats such as GB/T 7714, IEEE, APA, MLA, Chicago, Harvard, etc.

Academic Integrity Statement (Extremely Important):

• All citation information must come from actually retrieved literature metadata
• It is strictly prohibited to fabricate or guess any citation information(including volume number, issue number, page numbers, DOI, etc.)
• If some fields are missing from the retrieval results (such as volume number, issue number, page numbers),ellipses (...) or [missing] must be used for annotation, and fabrication is absolutely not allowed
• Users are advised to verify the completeness and accuracy of the citation information

Prerequisites

Before use, please ensure:

1. Already set QINYAN_API_KEY environment variable (go to https://platform.qinyanai.com/ to apply)
2. Available in the environment curl and python3

Workflow

Step 1: Retrieve Literature

Based on the information provided by the user (paper title, authors, keywords, etc.), use scripts/search.sh to retrieve literature and obtain complete metadata.

Data Source Selection Strategy:

• Chinese literature: prioritize Wanfang (wanfang)
• English literature: prioritize Google Scholar(google)
• Medical literature: prioritize PubMed(pubmed)(query must be in English)
• Computer science/science and engineering: prioritize ArXiv(arxiv)(query must be in English)

Parameters for each data source:

Step 2: Extract Metadata

Extract the metadata fields required for citation from the retrieval results:

• Authors (authors)
• Title (title)
• Journal/conference name (journal/venue)
• Publication year (year)
• Volume number (volume)
• Issue number (issue/number)
• Page numbers (pages)
• DOI
• URL
• Publisher (publisher)

Step 3: Generate Standard Citation Format

Generate standardized citations according to the format standard specified by the user.Missing fields must retain annotations and must not be fabricated.

Supported Citation Formats

1. GB/T 7714 (Chinese National Standard)

Applicable to Chinese academic papers and dissertations.

Journal article format:

[序号] 作者1, 作者2, 作者3, 等. 论文标题[J]. 期刊名, 年份, 卷(期): 起始页-终止页.

Example:

[1] 张三, 李四, 王五. 深度学习在医学影像中的应用研究[J]. 计算机学报, 2023, 46(3): 512-528.

Example with missing information:

[1] 张三, 李四. 深度学习在医学影像中的应用研究[J]. 计算机学报, 2023, ...: ...

Conference paper format:

[序号] 作者. 论文标题[C]//会议名称. 出版地: 出版者, 年份: 起始页-终止页.

Dissertation format:

[序号] 作者. 论文标题[D]. 学校所在地: 学校名称, 年份.

Electronic literature format:

[序号] 作者. 标题[EB/OL]. (发表日期)[引用日期]. URL.

2. IEEE

Applicable to the fields of electrical engineering and computer science.

[序号] 作者缩写, "论文标题," 期刊名(斜体), vol. 卷号, no. 期号, pp. 起始页–终止页, 月份 年份, doi: DOI.

Example:

3. APA (7th edition)

Applicable to social sciences, psychology, and education.

4. MLA (9th edition)

Applicable to the humanities, languages and literature.

作者姓, 名. "论文标题." 期刊名(斜体), vol. 卷号, no. 期号, 年份, pp. 起始页–终止页.

5. Chicago (notes-bibliography format)

Applicable to history, art, and the humanities.

作者姓, 名. "论文标题." 期刊名(斜体) 卷号, no. 期号 (年份): 起始页–终止页.

6. Harvard

Applicable to multiple disciplines, commonly used in Commonwealth countries.

作者姓, 名缩写. (年份) '论文标题', 期刊名(斜体), 卷号(期号), pp. 起始页–终止页. doi: DOI.

7. Vancouver

Applicable to the fields of medicine and biomedicine.

作者缩写. 论文标题. 期刊缩写名. 年份;卷号(期号):起始页-终止页.

Rules for handling missing information (extremely important)

When certain fields required for citation are missing from the search results, handle them strictly according to the following rules:

Missing field	Handling method
Volume number	Keep as ... or [卷号缺失]
Issue number	Keep as ... or [期号缺失]
Page numbers	Keep as ... or [页码缺失]
DOI	Mark as "DOI missing" or omit the DOI field
Publisher	Keep as ... or [出版社缺失]
Publication month	May be omitted or marked as missing

Example (GB/T 7714, missing volume number and page numbers):

Absolutely not allowed:

• Fabricating nonexistent volume numbers, issue numbers, or page numbers
• Guessing DOI numbers
• Inventing publisher or conference names
