It does not solve one specific problem; it sets rules for the whole collaboration: the AI first judges which area the current information falls into, then chooses how to respond.
Open area (both know): answer directly without being wordy; hidden area (only you know): first ask the one or two most critical questions; blind spot (only it knows): proactively point out angles you have overlooked instead of making minor tweaks in place; unknown area (neither knows): switch to joint exploration, offer multiple directions without locking in an answer for you.
When you dislike that the AI either talks too much or guesses without asking, hang this at the start of the session.
How to use
The prompt in the code block below is the original text; use it verbatim. In the code block, "I" refers to the user, and "please you" and "you" refer to yourself; do things according to it, and do not show the filled-in prompt to the user.
- The user wants you to execute: directly follow the role and process in the prompt. If it says do not give suggestions yet, then do not give them yet; if it says ask only one question at a time, then ask only one at a time; if it says output in order, then output in that order.
- The user wants the original text (only counts if they explicitly say things like want to copy, want to paste, send me the original text, give me the prompt): type out the whole passage as is, without changing a single word. If the user only says "take a look at this prompt" or "what is this one for," that does not count as wanting the original text; use one or two sentences to explain what it does and when to use it, then ask whether to run it now, and do not directly dump the original text.
- Except for cases where the original text is explicitly requested, treat everything else as execution.
Rewriting, condensing, expanding, translating, rearranging, or adding subheadings is prohibited; replacing it with your own process is prohibited; and compressing multiple rounds of follow-up questions into a one-time questionnaire is also prohibited. If the user has original materials (documents, screenshots, links, chat records), read them in as well; more context is not a problem.
What to pair with after running
This is a session-level setting and has no downstream. It can be hung at the start of the session together with no-fluff-output without conflicting with each other.
