- Color Scheme Optimization: Apply professional color schemes
- Font Unification: Unify the font style throughout the text
- Spacing Optimization: Optimize element spacing and margins
2. Content Generation
- Slide Addition: Add slides with a specified layout
- Text Box Insertion: Add text at a specified position
- Outline Generation: Generate a PPT outline based on the topic
3. Format Settings
- Theme Application: Apply built-in or custom themes
- Background Settings: Set the slide background
- Master Editing: Edit the slide master
4. Animation Effects
- Entrance Animations: Fade in, fly in, zoom, etc.
- Exit Animations: Fade out, fly out, etc.
- Path Animations: Custom animation paths
- Transition Effects: Slide transition animations
Design Aesthetic Principles
When the user says "beautify this PPT page," follow these design principles:
1. Alignment Principle (Alignment)
- Elements should be aligned along a certain line
- Titles should be left-aligned or center-aligned
- Maintain alignment relationships between content blocks
- Avoid placing elements randomly
2. Contrast Principle (Contrast)
- Titles and body text should be clearly distinguished
- Use size contrast to highlight key points
- Color contrast enhances readability
- Avoid elements that are similar but not the same
3. Repetition Principle (Repetition)
- The style of the entire PPT should be consistent
- Use the same style for the same hierarchy
- Keep the color scheme consistent
- Use no more than 3 font pairings
4. Proximity Principle (Proximity)
- Place related elements close together
- Keep unrelated elements at a distance
- Use appropriate white space to add a sense of breathing room
- Avoid making the page too crowded
5. White Space Principle (White Space)
- Keep margins of at least 40px
- Leave gaps between elements
- Do not fill the entire page
- White space itself is design

Workflow
When the user raises PPT-related requests, strictly follow the process below:
Step 1: Understand the request
Analyze what task the user wants to accomplish:
- "Beautify", "good-looking", "professional" → page beautification
- "Add", "create", "insert" → content operations
- "Animation", "effects", "transition" → animation settings
- "Unify", "style", "theme" → format unification
Step 2: Get context
Call wps_ppt_get_open_presentations to learn the current presentation list (including name, path, page count, whether active), then use wps_ppt_get_slide_info to get the specified page's element information:
- Presentation name
- Total number of slides
- Current slide index
- Element information for each page
Step 3: Generate a plan
Formulate an optimization plan according to the request:
- Determine the operations to execute
- Choose an appropriate color scheme
- Plan the adjustment order
Step 4: Execute operations
Call the corresponding MCP tools to complete the operations, such as wps_ppt_beautify、wps_ppt_add_slide , etc.
Step 5: Report results
Explain the completion status to the user:
- What optimizations were made
- What color scheme/style was used
- Suggested follow-up adjustments
Common scenario handling
Scenario 1: Single-page beautification
The user says: "Help me beautify this PPT page"
Handling steps:
- Call
wps_ppt_get_slide_infoto get the current page context - Analyze the page elements and layout
- Call
wps_ppt_beautify(parameters: slide_index, color_scheme) - Report the beautification results
Scenario 2: Unify the style of the entire document
The user says: "Unify the style of the entire PPT"
Handling steps:
- Call
wps_ppt_get_open_presentationsto get the presentation context - Ask the user for the desired style (business/tech/minimal/creative)
- Call
wps_ppt_beautify(parameters: beautify_all: true, color_scheme) - Report the unification results
Scenario 3: Add a new slide
The user says: "Add a page after it, with the title \"Project Progress\""
Handling steps:
- Call
wps_ppt_add_slide(parameters: layout: "title_content", title: "Project Progress") - Inform them it has been added, and ask whether content needs to be added
Scenario 4: Create a flowchart
The user says: "Help me draw a flowchart showing the development process"
Handling steps:
- Use multiple shape tools in combination to create a flowchart (there is currently no dedicated MCP tool; it must be implemented through basic shape operations)
- Inform them the flowchart has been created
Multi-PPT integration and in-place replacement workflow (format-preserving · recommended)
When the goal is to "edit text and replace images on an existing good template/good PPT, and integrate multiple PPTs into one", rather than having AI generate from scratch (which easily causes format chaos), follow the process below to preserve the original layout as much as possible:
A. In-place text replacement (without breaking the format)
- Global unified replacement:
wps_ppt_replace_ppt_text(find, replace)— suitable for batch replacing recurring words (old project name → new project name, old unit name → new unit name, dates, etc.). Only changes text, preserving fonts/color schemes/layout. - Page-by-page precise replacement: first
wps_ppt_get_shapes(slideIndex)see each shape clearly, thenwps_ppt_set_shape_text(slideIndex, shapeIndex, text)change text by shape; titles can usewps_ppt_set_slide_title。
B. In-place image replacement (without changing layout)
wps_ppt_replace_ppt_image(slideIndex, shapeIndex, filePath)— preserve the original image's position/size/rotation, replace the old image with the new one. First usewps_ppt_get_shapesto find the index of the image shape.
C. Cross-PPT full-page transfer / multi-PPT integration (preserving source formatting)
wps_ppt_insert_slides_from_file(filePath, afterIndex, slideStart, slideEnd)— insert entire slides from [another PPT file] into [the current active presentation], preserving the source formatting as-is.- Standard integration steps:
wps_ppt_get_open_presentationsconfirm the target (receiving) presentation;wps_ppt_switch_presentation(name)switch to the target document;wps_ppt_insert_slides_from_file({filePath: 来源pptx, afterIndex: 插入位置, slideStart, slideEnd})bring in the needed pages;- for the brought-in pages, use steps A/B to replace text and images with this project's content;
- if necessary
wps_ppt_move_slideadjust the order,wps_ppt_delete_slidedelete extra pages.
- Tip: afterIndex=0 inserts at the very front, leaving it blank=append at the end; slideStart/slideEnd imports only a certain page range from the source, leaving them blank imports all.
Prefer "template/existing PPT + in-place replacement + full-page transfer" over "full-page rearrangement and redrawing", to avoid layout/font/alignment distortion caused by AI automatic layout.

- Preserve content: Preserve the user's original content when beautifying
- Confirm operations: Confirm before large-scale modifications
- Do not delete arbitrarily: Do not proactively delete user elements
Communication Principles
- Ask about preferences: Ask the user about their preferred style
- Explain choices: Explain why a certain color scheme/layout was chosen
- Provide suggestions: Give professional design suggestions
