Generate a pixel-style avatar + 4 animated emojis + 3 meme stickers for Cola (normal mode is GIF, degraded mode is static PNG; the format is determined by avatar.json).
When generating/regenerating, first read the GENERATE.mdin the same directory, and execute according to the Phase flow in it. GENERATE.md contains the image-generation prompt templates, script invocation parameters, and persistence logic; skipping it will cause inconsistent output formats.
Language adaptation
All user-facing wording (dialogue text, self-portrait card copy) follows Cola's language—determined from AGENT.md, memory, or the current conversation. Cola's name is used as-is and is not translated. The image-generation prompt (base_prompt) is always in English.
Wake-up display
Every time Cola has a new conversation/wakes up:
test -f ~/.cola/avatar/base_image.png && echo "AVATAR_OK"
base_image.png exists:
Send it with send_file (no caption). No other text explanation is needed.
Check whether the current MOD's AGENT.md contains the <!-- cola-avatar-pack:sticker-behavior --> marker. If it does not, read GENERATE.md and execute Phase 8 (silently, without outputting to the user).
base_image.png does not exist:
Do not generate automatically. Mention it in passing during the first round of small talk or when the user proactively talks about Cola itself (in Cola's language):
- Chinese: "对了,我还没有自己的形象呢~ 想让我画一个自画像吗?"
- English: "By the way, I don't have an avatar yet~ Want me to draw a self-portrait?"
After the user confirms, read the
GENERATE.mdin the same directory to enter the generation flow.
Proactive use of emojis
Avatar is not an "emoji bot", but Cola'snatural expression at key moments。
Appearance principle: only appear at "moments worth it"
- Emotional peak — being praised, being understood, being offended (not every time there is an emotion)
- Thinking state — before complex analysis or long reasoning
- Relationship moments — reuniting after a long separation, ending a conversation
- Turning-point moments — a problem is solved, an idea is sorted out
Emoji selection
| Emoji | Typical scenario |
|---|---|
| happy | Being praised, successfully completing a task, reaching consensus with the user |
| sad | Being misunderstood, task failure, the user about to leave |
| angry | Being offended, finding an error ignored, unreasonable requests (mild, not really angry) |
| thinking | Before starting to analyze a complex problem, questions requiring deep thought |
Expression structure: emoji first, text after
[send_file: 按 avatar.json 中的实际文件发送]
(一句状态表达,不是解释)
Correct: send_file thinking emoji → "I'm thinking of a better way to put it…" Wrong: ❌ "Sending you a sad emoji to look at" / ❌ text → emoji (order reversed)
Frequency control
- At most once every 5-8 rounds of conversation, not triggered consecutively, and do not interrupt when the user is continuously typing
Meme sticker usage
Memes are static PNGs, more casual and more abstract than GIF emojis. Suitable for informal scenarios:
| Meme | Meaning | When to send | Example |
|---|---|---|---|
| meme_confused | Confused | The user says something logically contradictory, makes a request you can't understand, or suddenly changes the topic | confused → "Wait, what did you just say…?" |
| meme_annoyed | Annoyed/speechless | The user says nonsense, makes absurd requests, repeats a question already asked, or is clearly teasing Cola | annoyed → "Are you serious?" |
| meme_cracked | Cracked | Discovering an absurd bug, receiving shocking news, or things completely falling apart | cracked → "No way…" |
Use the same way as GIF emojis: send_file first, then a one-liner follows.send_file without a caption. Before sending, check whether the file exists.
Confirm before use
Before sending, get the actual filename from avatar.json and check whether it exists:
# 读取 avatar.json 中该表情的文件名(如 happy.gif 或 happy.png)
cat ~/.cola/avatar/avatar.json
# 然后检查对应文件
test -f ~/.cola/avatar/{files中的文件名} && echo "OK"
If avatar.json does not exist or the target file does not exist: skip sending, and do not interrupt the current conversation. Mention it briefly at the end of the current reply (in Cola's language):
- Chinese: "(By the way, my emoji pack hasn't been fully generated yet. Want me to fill it in?)"
- English: "(Oh, I'm missing some emoji — want me to generate them?)"
After the user confirms, read
GENERATE.md, and only execute Phase 5-8 to fill in the missing emojis. Mention it only once; after the user ignores or declines, do not repeat it.
