SkillsMP Skill Search

This skill provides search functionality for the SkillsMP skill marketplace, helping users quickly discover and locate the skills they need.

API Configuration

Before first use, you need to configure the API Key. The API Key is stored in references/api_key.txt .

Format: a plain text API Key string (for example:sk_live_skillsmp_eb_6A4Y9LJAhtzPFsmX0v67zhingVC0CrQZ4Qqlin4）

Note: Please ensure the API Key is secure, and do not commit SKILL.md or files containing the API Key to public repositories.

Search Modes

1. Keyword Search

Use scripts/search_skills.py to perform keyword-based search.

Use Cases：

• The user searches with explicit keywords (such as "SEO", "PDF", "translation")
• Need to sort by popularity or latest time
• Need to browse results with pagination

Parameters：

• q (required): search keyword
• page: page number, default 1
• limit: number per page, default 20, maximum 100
• sortBy: sort method,stars(popular, default) or recent(latest)

Example：

python scripts/search_skills.py "SEO" --page 1 --limit 10 --sortBy stars

2. AI Semantic Search

Use scripts/ai_search.py to perform search based on semantic understanding.

Use Cases：

• The user describes their needs in natural language (such as "how to make a video", "help me process PDF documents")
• The search intent is complex and requires understanding the context
• The specific keywords are uncertain, and AI intelligent matching is desired

Parameters：

• q (required): natural language search query

Example：

python scripts/ai_search.py "How to create a web scraper"

Error Handling

API error codes:

Usage Flow

1. Ensure the API Key is configured in references/api_key.txt
2. Choose the search mode according to the user's needs:
   • Explicit keywords → Keyword Search
   • Natural language description → AI Semantic Search
3. Run the corresponding script to get results
4. Parse and display the search results to the user
