When to use this skill
Use this skill whenever the user wants to:
- Write or apply resources such as Deployment, Service, ConfigMap, Secret, Ingress
- Use kubectl to deploy, scale, and troubleshoot Pods and clusters
- Design resource limits, probes, rolling updates, and operational processes
How to use this skill
- Resources: YAML defines workloads (Deployment/StatefulSet), Service, ConfigMap/Secret; Ingress handles HTTP routing.
- kubectl:
apply -f、get/describe/logs/exec、scale、rollout status; context and namespace switching. - Environment: The cluster requires kubeconfig; locally you can use minikube/kind/k3d; in production, pay attention to RBAC and network policies.
Best Practices
- Set requests/limits; configure liveness/readiness probes.
- Use Secret for sensitive information; use ConfigMap or an external configuration center for configuration.
- Rolling update and rollback strategies are clear; logs and monitoring are collected centrally.
