Task starting point
First read the source material and confirm the delivery purpose, target size or duration, scope of changes, and required formats. Directly adopt reasonable defaults for details that can be determined from the task and source material; only ask about missing conditions that would change the result.
When a visible editor is needed, hand off to the photocraft-editor skill. Standalone installation:npx skills add full-aigc-skills/photocraft-skills --skill photocraft-editor. The newly added skill is currently a local candidate; before release, use the local companion plugin, and do not treat this install command as proof of release.
Execution steps
- Keep the original scan and determine whether the text is legible; correct skew and crop edges first.
- Estimate the paper background from blank areas and use gentle levels to remove the gray background, avoiding wiping out pencil marks or light-colored stamps.
- Locally repair creases and dust, limiting the repair area near text.
- Output a clear version at the original size; when OCR is needed, hand off to a tool that actually has OCR capability.
Tool implementation
Use doc_open/doc_new to open or create, doc_inspect to view layers; command_list to query actual commands, command_run to execute; doc_save to save .pcraft, doc_export to export.
Read the actual tool schema first, then fill in parameters; use return values for object or document IDs. Queried commands must be available in the current backend. Choose a new output path before saving and preserve the input. When a required algorithm, format, or command does not exist, state the gap; do not pass off a similarly named one as the real thing.
Result checking
- Small font sizes, thin strokes, stamps, and signatures must not be erased.
- Compare content and page order page by page; do not add guessed text.
- Deliver the image cleanup results and distinguish whether OCR text has actually been generated.
Check the actual content against the user's goal, not just the process exit code. For local edits, inspect local details; for layout tasks, inspect the full page; for time-based media, inspect the start and end and key segments. For abnormal results, check the current project first to avoid repeating irreversible operations.
Delivery
Return the editable project, the actual derived files, and a brief explanation: what changes were made, which steps were not performed due to current capabilities, and what content requires the user's judgment. List only files that actually exist and have been checked. If the user later requests rework, read this session's source project and make local modifications, preserving accepted content.
