Used for operations on the CapCut "Materials" panel and the materials track. First obtain the real media facts, then decide between local import, sub-draft import, official material download, or replacement path.
When to use
- Import video, image, material files, or another draft/track.
- Search for and download official CapCut materials, or replace, relink, or delete existing materials.
- Analyze scene cut points, duplicate shots, material flow, or resource rights.
Capability boundaries
- ✅ Can do: local video/image import, whole-draft or specified-track import, replace/relink/delete, and material fact checks.
- ⚠️ Requires conditions: official material downloads require rights and usage evidence; writes require an isolated copy; completion conclusions require a cold reopen.
- ❌ Should not use: does not handle subtitle layout, digital human generation, or unmodeled UI entry points; these requests are handled by the corresponding category skills or remain blocked.
Quick start
You can directly say: "Add /素材/开场.mp4 to 0 seconds", "append sub-draft B to the end of the main draft", "find commercially usable 9:16 tech park aerial footage from official materials". On first use, load function flow, then select the unique action ID.
When encountering WebM, transparent Web VFX, abnormal dimensions/frame rates, or materials with unknown compatibility, load
media pre-check contract, first form a reconcilable derived media relationship, then decide whether to import.
Execution boundaries
- Local materials preferentially use fixed Rust argv; official materials must go through candidate screening, rights verification, download receipt, and post-application checks.
- Standardization creates derived media through a controlled Provider; the skill does not silently transcode, and the Provider cannot directly modify the draft.
- For a whole sub-draft use
project concat; for importing only one track usetemplate inspect+template import-track。 - Do not treat the materials panel being visible, the download icon disappearing, or a GUI prompt as success in adding to the draft.
Runtime contract
- Trigger conditions: the user requests material import, sub-draft, material library, replace, relink, delete, or material analysis.
- Required capability:
media.probe、media.add、project.edit_isolated、project.verify、template.import_track、media.replace、media.relink、media.official_resource、media.official_resource_apply;project concatAlso subject to the supported status in the published command catalog. - Minimum CLI version:
1.6.19;media.official_resource_applyWhen partial, official materials only execute up to the verified receipt or version-bound Adapter gate. - Default risk:
reversible_write。 - Input facts: absolute material/draft paths, media probe results, target draft isolated copy, time range, purpose, channel, and rights evidence.
- Confirmation points: downloading official resources, writing to an existing draft, merging sub-drafts, deleting clips, and invoking the native application are confirmed separately.
- Success evidence:
cold_reopen; structural validation does not equal resource availability after a cold reopen of CapCut. - Prohibited actions: must not forge resource IDs, skip probing, overwrite source drafts, treat coordinates as action IDs, or use Rust source code as proof of published binary capability.
Workflow
Step 1 — Read facts
Run doctor、capabilities, and use media probe or project inspect to read facts.
Step 2 — Select action
Select the unique matching semantic action in function flow .
Step 3 — Isolate and execute
First snapshot/isolate the output; write with fixed argv, and for official materials first register rights and download receipts.
Step 4 — Verify
Run project verify、project diff; when complete, perform a cold restart and check asset identity, duration, and visuals.
Step 5 — Recovery
On failure, partially delete or restore from snapshot; ambiguous downloads/applications are not retried automatically.
Rules
- Media duration, dimensions, streams, and hashes come only from probe results.
- Semantic actions must bind absolute paths, target ranges, and fixed argv.
- For official assets, license and receipt first, then apply.
- Report verification levels according to actual evidence; do not substitute a plan for completion.
Gotchas
- Confusing whole draft with tracks: Use
project concatfor whole-draft appends, andtemplate import-track。 - Image treated as video: probe first, then explicitly set the target duration for images.
- Wrong asset selected due to same name: use stable asset IDs and hashes; do not guess by title.
- Claiming completion right after download: a download receipt does not mean it has been added to the draft.
- Retrying after application timeout: check the draft and task status first to avoid duplicate segments.
Security and Data
Read only user-authorized paths; do not upload local assets unless the user separately approves the exact files, Provider, purpose, and validity period; credentials must not enter skills, command arguments, or logs.
