About this skill

FilmCraft

Use native .fcproj as the source of truth for editing, and deliver the project, dependency media list, preview, and agreed final cut. This skill can be copied and installed independently; all installation resources are located in this skill directory and it does not read sibling skills or plugin private files.

Trusted directory permissions

Legacy cli.py Project reading and editing forwarded natively also require providing an independent root parameter before -- ; only exact version/help/no-project-directory queries remain compatible with legacy calls. Model downloads must separately use --model-maintenance, see this skill's Execution permissions。

Public workflow.py and commands.py run must explicitly provide --read-root READ_DIRECTORY --write-root WRITE_DIRECTORY(repeatable); the root must be an existing canonical real directory, authorized by the user/host, and must not be inferred from plans or media metadata. Plans, media, and source deliverables must be located under the read root, and deliverables and their parent directories must be located under the write root.--runtime-home is an installation maintenance directory and must be located under an independently and explicitly authorized write root; the native editing process is always prohibited from modifying this cache, the skill, registered inputs, and source projects. Current root-isolated execution supports macOS headless; desktop entry points must simultaneously isolate the signed application and MCP client owned by this session, and only open the assigned loopback control port. External bridges whose isolation cannot be confirmed are explicitly rejected. The low-level Python testing API is not a public authorization entry point. For detailed boundaries, see Execution permissions。

First use

  1. Locate the actual directory of this SKILL.md . Python 3.11+ is required; use the scripts/bootstrap.pyunder that directory, and do not assume the current working directory is the skill directory.
  2. When the user has requested installation or completion of creation and the existing authorization covers the necessary dependencies, run the installation entry point directly; the installation scope is the user data directory and does not require sudo. Download the fixed release artifact and verify the digest; stop on failure, do not remove quarantine attributes, and do not modify shell configuration.

Set SKILL_DIR to the directory (absolute path) where the actually loaded SKILL.md of this host resides. User-level installations may be located at ~/.agents/skills/filmcraft-use, project-level ones may be located at .agents/skills/filmcraft-use, and plugins may be located in their skills/filmcraft-use or host cache directory; use the actual loaded path as the standard, do not guess based on the current working directory, and do not search and then arbitrarily choose among duplicate versions. The skill directory and the CLI's user data installation directory are two independent locations.

: "${SKILL_DIR:?请先设置为本 SKILL.md 的实际所在目录}"
python3 -I -B "$SKILL_DIR/scripts/bootstrap.py"

The installer returns JSON executable, which is subsequently used as the first element of argv. The currently locked platform is macOS arm64; unsupported platforms return unsupported_platform; do not install artifacts for other platforms.

The installation location defaults to ~/.local/share/craft-runtimes, and can be specified with --runtime-home or CRAFT_RUNTIME_HOME . Repeated calls verify and reuse the same-version runtime without online upgrades.--archive accepts an already downloaded locked ZIP, but does not skip digest verification.

  1. Execute the returned paths --version and help. This tool uses help, not --help. Execute commands <关键词> --json and describe <命令ID>according to the request, and follow the parameters returned by the current version.

Executable editing entry point

Use native editing plan in scripts/workflow.pyto create a short film with subtitles from existing video and voiceover. The entry point automatically installs the CLI, collects media, saves and reopens the project, exports, and performs decode checks; via --source And the original project summary supports relinking after single-shot revisions and asset moves.

Editing workflow

  • First verify asset paths, stream information, frame size, frame rate, final duration, voiceover sources, and native delivery requirements.probe <media> Return asset information.
  • Before modifying an existing project, save an independent checkpoint, use --project <绝对路径.fcproj> to open it. Normal CLI calls do not share memory between invocations; write commands must be paired with --save or --save-as, or completed within the same run / MCP session.
  • run <文件.jsonl> receives line-by-line {"id":"命令ID","params":{...}}. By default it stops on error and does not use --keep-going to mask failures. When an ID of an object created in the previous step is needed, read the actual result or keep the MCP session; do not guess IDs.
  • The time base is 254016000000 ticks per second. The workflow.py template uses large integer strings according to its contract; ticks in native commands in commands.py use exact JSON integers, distinguishing ticks from seconds according to the native parameter contract without losing precision through JavaScript Number.
  • Organize assets, music, voiceover, and subtitles separately; use voices only within the scope authorized by the user. Font, timing, and content of subtitles must be independently modifiable.
  • Use render --seconds <时间> --out <图片> to check keyframes.export <输出> --format <格式> waits for export; the specific format and parameters are subject to the current help、describe file.exportMedia .
  • After saving, reopen the project and inspect, verifying tracks, asset references, subtitles, and content unaffected by local modifications. Only after checking the decoding, duration, dimensions, and audio tracks of the actual exported file can the final video be declared complete.

Revisions and failures

Modify only the shots or parameters specified by the user. Record the project summary and object IDs before and after editing; if the user also modifies the project, re-check rather than overwrite. A timeout does not prove that side effects did not occur; first check the original project, exported file, or original task, and do not blindly resubmit. Preserve the native project and failure evidence, and clearly state unfinished items.

This version is validating short films, audio-video, subtitles, asset moves, and single-shot revisions after the independent skill is first installed; full Harness and plugin host acceptance is still under development. State the passing scope based on test evidence; installation success must not be treated as full plugin functionality acceptance.

When the first installation or reuse encounters another installation process, wait within bounds; on timeout, keep the current state and report runtime_install_busy. Seeinstallation concurrency contract。

Development version dev.2 ships with native and export deliveryexchange loss report. Read lost/observed/unknown and export warnings; do not call flat export, SVG structure, or PSD layer counts a lossless native substitute.

Missing skills:npx skills add full-aigc-skills/filmcraft-skills --skill <skill-name>. Each item comes with its own installation and execution resources; running this skill directly scripts/cli.py can also query the current CLI without relying on sibling paths.

For workspace segmented asset consumption candidates, see segmented assets. Fixed release and Art integration are still pending acceptance; candidate handoff cannot be treated as a complete five-plugin delivery.

Complete native command usage

The current skill comes with parameter descriptions for the complete catalog and a same-session entry point, not limited by the creative template whitelist. Read complete usage guide, and query as needed command reference; each instruction has a skill route, prerequisite observation and acceptance status.

Before executing a new entry point, check the real registry and current executable status, retain return value references and step-by-step receipts; semantic errors or timeouts must not be passed off as success. Catalog coverage and direct native usage do not mean all instructions, GUI, delivery or Art orchestration have been accepted.

For the complete workflow command gateway, see usage instructions. For the fixed CLI version and artifact digest, refer to this skill's own scripts/runtime.lock.json ; the skill package version is based on the corresponding release tag. Independent installation re-verification and full command-by-command acceptance are recorded separately; release does not replace acceptance.

For GUI tasks, you can first use this skill's own fixed desktop installation; installation, startup and actual GUI editing are verified separately.

For this skill's tasks, first read specialized task templates, and execute according to the corresponding inputs, first task, failure boundaries, local revisions and verification. When combining cross-capabilities, then read complete business scenarios。

If installation fails, read first-use diagnostics, and locate this skill's own setup entry point according to the receipt; handle installation failures and native invocation failures separately.

For multi-camera interview, performance and main recording continuity tasks, read multi-camera scenarios, and verify camera numbering, synchronization basis and cut point acceptance.

For voice-over transcription, speaker or text-based editing tasks, hand over to filmcraft-cli-transcript. Installation:npx skills add full-aigc-skills/filmcraft-skills --skill filmcraft-cli-transcript. For parameters and scenario steps, see this skill's own transcription guide。

For same-target execution contention and interruption registration, see this skill's execution registration; the skill source dev.29 includes the implementation, and plugin fixed installation acceptance is recorded separately.

For continuous operations, prefer this skill's own task-level session: start once, check, save and rework plan by plan, sharing the same FilmCraft instance; exit only when the task ends. A single run still retains the original compatible behavior.
