About this skill

Short-video rough cut

Before executing the specific method, read Craft scenario commands and parameters, and execute according to the object selection, session, input substitution, and result checking described therein.

Task starting point

First read the material, confirm the delivery purpose, target dimensions or duration, scope of modification, and required format. Directly adopt reasonable defaults for details that can be determined from the task and material; only ask about missing conditions that would change the result.

When a visible editor is needed, hand off to the filmcraft-editor skill. Standalone installation:npx skills add full-aigc-skills/filmcraft-skills --skill filmcraft-editor. The currently added skill is a local candidate; before release, use the local companion plugin, and do not treat this installation command as proof of release.

Execution steps

  1. Clarify the theme, duration, and aspect ratio, and mark the material by content.
  2. First arrange the opening hook, the main body, and the ending to form an understandable rough cut.
  3. Adjust cut points by action or semantics, and add necessary transition shots.
  4. Check subtitles, safe zones, and audio, then export a review version.

Before insertion, explicitly open the source material and set the actual in and out points; the CLI's source.open, source in/out points, and source.insert must be executed in the same run. After insertion, adapt the aspect ratio using the actually returned clip ID, preserving the full frame; for parameter and return value substitution, see the method manual above.

Tool implementation

Use command_list to read the current Web engine commands; command_run executes on the visible page, and inspect verifies; open_file imports material, list_files checks exports, and save_project or save_file writes to a new path in the workspace.

First read the actual tool schema, then fill in the parameters; use return values for object or document IDs. Queried commands must be available on the current backend. Before saving, choose a new output path and preserve the input. If a required algorithm, format, or command does not exist, explain the gap; do not pass off a similar name as the real thing.

Result checking

  • The narrative is complete, and the editing does not change the original meaning.
  • Vertical cropping does not cut off key people or objects.
  • Deliver the project and the rough-cut preview.

Check the actual content against the user's goals, not just the process exit code. For local edits, check local details; for layout tasks, check the entire page; for time-based media, check the start, end, and key segments. For abnormal results, first check the current project to avoid repeatedly performing irreversible operations.

Delivery

Return the editable project, the actual derived files, and a brief explanation: what modifications were made, which steps were not executed due to current capabilities, and what requires the user's judgment. List only files that actually exist and have been checked. If the user later requests rework, read this session's source project and make local modifications, preserving the accepted content.
