About this skill

CADCraft Drawing Entry Points

The common execution core of CADCraft is the Session command registry. First determine the input drawing, units, target geometry, output format, and delivery path; when a drawing already exists, keep the original and operate on a copy or an explicitly authorized target file. Use list_commands to query the commands, parameter descriptions, and enabled status of the currently installed version; do not treat the examples in the skill as a complete command specification.

Choosing an Entry Point

  • In a host with cadcraft-plugin installed, use the plugin's cadcraft MCP service. For new drawings, interactive commands, programmatic commands, queries, and rendering, see the cadcraft-mcp skill. Standalone installation:npx skills add full-aigc-skills/cadcraft-skills --skill cadcraft-mcp。
  • When cadcraft-cli is available locally and the task is single-file processing or windowless batch processing, use the cadcraft-cli skill. Standalone installation:npx skills add full-aigc-skills/cadcraft-skills --skill cadcraft-cli。
  • When you need to confirm the on-screen menus, mouse operations, or the current desktop state, start the loopback port of the CADCraft desktop application --control , then connect with cadcraft-cli mcp --connect 127.0.0.1:PORT ; Headless render only renders drawing content, not desktop screenshots.

Completion Criteria

  1. After creating or modifying, use inspect_drawing、query_entities to verify entity types, counts, Handles, layers, and key coordinates; for drawings with constraints, also query the constraint satisfaction status.
  2. Use render to check layouts and dimensions; when you need to confirm the desktop UI, use the desktop-connected screenshot or an actual preview.
  3. After saving, reopen the delivered file to confirm it is readable and re-check the key entities. External software compatibility of DXF/DWG requires actual opening evidence from the corresponding software; internal round-tripping in this project does not equal external compatibility.

Do not equate the transport success of a single tool call with command success. After a remote connection timeout, query the drawing state first to avoid blindly resending creation commands that may already have been executed. The Web side currently does not support DWG.
