About this skill

Reference image depiction

Before executing the specific method, read Craft scene commands and parameters, and execute according to the object selection, session, input replacement, and result checking described therein.

Task starting point

First read the materials, confirm the delivery purpose, target dimensions or duration, modification scope, and required format. Directly adopt reasonable defaults for details that can be determined from the task and materials; only ask about missing conditions that would change the result.

When a visible editor is needed, hand it to the cadcraft-editor skill. Standalone installation:npx skills add full-aigc-skills/cadcraft-skills --skill cadcraft-editor. The currently added skill is a local candidate; before release, use the local companion plugin, and do not treat this installation command as proof of publication.

Execution steps

  1. The host views the original image read-only, confirming the origin, X reference point, known real length, and an independent second dimension; the current CLI has no bitmap attachment command, so do not falsely claim the base image has been imported.
  2. Calculate the scale and the conversion from pixel Y axis to CAD Y axis according to the manual, and first cross-check using the second known dimension; if perspective or non-uniform distortion cannot be explained, stop and confirm.
  3. Pass the confirmed contour coordinates to actual commands such as pline on the TRACE layer; for existing drawings, skip creating a new drawing and unit initialization, and insert according to the confirmed coordinate origin.
  4. Save the new DXF and reopen it to check closure, actual length and width, and units; keep the original image, and note the tracing error and the unfinished automatic recognition/base image attachment.

Tool implementation

Use open/new_drawing to open or create, query_entities to verify geometry; execute to run commands, save to save, render to preview.

First read the actual tool schema, then fill in the parameters; use the returned values for object or document IDs. Queried commands must be available on the current backend. Choose a new output path before saving, and keep the input. If the required algorithm, format, or command does not exist, state the gap; do not pass off a similar name as the real thing.

Result check

  • Cross-calibrate with at least a second known dimension.
  • Check the closed contour and extra overlapping lines.
  • Label uncalibrated drawings as schematic, and do not output falsely precise dimensions.

Check the actual content against the user's goal, not just the process exit code. For local edits, view local details; for layout tasks, view the entire page; for time-based media, view the start, end, and key segments. For abnormal results, check the current project first to avoid repeatedly performing irreversible operations.

Delivery

Return the editable project, the actual derived files, and a brief explanation: what modifications were made, which steps were not executed due to current capabilities, and what content requires user judgment. List only files that actually exist and have been checked. If the user subsequently requests rework, read this source project and modify locally, preserving accepted content.
