About this skill

Blender → Jimeng reference video

This skill covers the installation and export handoff of the official Blender uploader. The official manual provided by the user calls the uploader the "Jimeng Seedance 2.5 white-model render uploader"; the download entry is https://jimeng.jianying.com/ai-tool/home. The installation package and interface may change by version; before operating, verify against the actual official website package and Blender interface. It and the blender-mcp-setup used by Blender Connector / Codex N panelare two separate plugins.

When to Use

  • The scene and camera are ready and a white-model video needs to be generated in Blender: selectCamera Render。
  • There is already a rendered white-model video: selectLocal Upload, and do not render again.
  • There is no usable scene or video yet: complete white-model creation first. Depending on the skill name, use blender-video-original or blender-video-recreate; when installing separately, use npx skills add full-aigc-skills/blender-skills --skill <skill-name>. This skill does not depend on their files.

Inputs and Prerequisites

Requires the current Blender scene or an existing local white-model video, the plugin package downloaded from the actual official website (if installation is needed), an accessible Jimeng web page, and authorization for this installation/upload operation. Request only the information needed to complete the current path.

Workflow

Installation and readiness check

Step 1. First check whether the official uploader is already present in Blender, and record the Blender version, the plugin display name, and whether it is enabled. If it is ready, skip installation.

Step 2. When installation is needed, obtain the plugin ZIP suitable for the current Blender from the above Jimeng official website; confirm the source and version. Installing or enabling is an environment change; obtain authorization for this operation before executing. Do not use third-party mirrors, guess ZIP file names, or unzip and reassemble on your own.

Step 3. In Blender, open Edit → Preferences → Add-ons → top-right menu → Install from Disk, select the downloaded ZIP, perform the installation, and keep "Jimeng Seedance 2.5 white-model render uploader" enabled.

Step 4. Return to the 3D View, press N or click the right arrow to expand the Sidebar, and enter the Jimeng panel. If the panel is not visible, first check the installation, enabled status, and actual compatible version; do not regard the Codex panel as success.

Export and handoff

Step 1. Confirm the scene or local video to be handed off, the output directory, and the overwrite scope; confirm this user authorization before performing any actual upload. Web login, paid generation, and publishing are handled separately according to the user's request for that time.

Step 2. Camera Render: In the Jimeng panel's "Video Upload Method," select "Camera Render," verify the camera, resolution, save location, and the settings actually provided by the interface, then click "Render." Wait for the local video to complete, and check that the file exists, is non-empty, and is playable; do not treat starting the render as completion.

Step 3. Local Upload: Select "Local Upload" and specify the existing white-model video file; check that the file exists, is non-empty, and is playable. If the interface has additional preparation buttons, operate according to the actual labels, and do not mistakenly write the local video mode as requiring the scene to be rendered again.

Step 4. Click "Upload to Jimeng for generation". Record the link returned by the plugin and the page status; on the Jimeng Web page, confirm that the selected white model video has been used asreference video input. If the page requires login or the video has not yet loaded, report the current status and continue troubleshooting according to the actual page.

Validation and Delivery Evidence (Validation)

Report separately: plugin availability, local video verification, link generation, webpage opening, and reference video loading, each using PASS / FAIL / UNVERIFIED. Provide the local file path, media parameters, and inspection evidence; do not write links containing temporary tokens into long-term receipts.Link generation does not mean the webpage has read the video; reference video loading does not mean the Seedance task has been submitted or generation has completed.

When only manual operation guidance is needed, you can directly use Camera Rendering Example or Local Video Example. When there is no real plugin or webpage access capability, provide the steps and mark the run result UNVERIFIED, and do not fabricate an automatic upload interface.

Rules and Capability Boundaries (Inapplicable Scenarios)

Do not treat Blender Connector as a Jimeng uploader, do not merge local export, link generation, reference video loading, or AI final video into a single success state; do not automatically log in or submit paid tasks.

Gotchas (Common Issues and Recovery)

When the panel is missing, check the plugin name, enabled status, and version; when a link appears but the webpage has no reference video, record the webpage prompt and link validity period, and do not repeat the upload until the previous result is confirmed; when the video cannot be played, first fix the local output.
