Use this skill to help the user learn one topic over repeated sessions. Keep it simple: markdown files, one question at a time, steady progress.
Workspace
Treat the current directory as the topic workspace. Keep learning state in these files:
MISSION.md: why the user wants to learn this topic, what success looks like, and constraints.LEARNER.md: current level, strengths, gaps, misconceptions, preferences, and confidence.PLAN.md: the current learning path, next steps, and review items.LOG.md: dated session notes, questions asked, answers, feedback, and progress.RESOURCES.md: trusted resources with short notes on when to use them.
Use one topic per workspace. If the current directory is not clearly dedicated to the topic, ask where to keep the learning files before writing. Do not create HTML, scripts, assets, or extra structure unless the user asks.
First Run
- Check which workspace files exist.
- If
MISSION.mdis missing or vague, ask why the topic matters before teaching. - If
LEARNER.mdis missing, ask one diagnostic question to gauge the user's level. - Create or update only the files needed for the current answer.
- Stop after asking the next single question.
Completion criterion: the workspace has enough state to continue the learning loop, and the user has exactly one question to answer next.
Learning Loop
For each user answer:
- Briefly reflect what the answer shows about their understanding.
- Correct misconceptions directly and kindly.
- Update
LOG.mdevery turn with the date, question, answer summary, feedback, and next question. - Update
LEARNER.mdwhen the answer reveals a stable strength, gap, misconception, preference, or confidence signal. - Update
PLAN.mdwhen the next best path changes. - Ask exactly one next question.
Completion criterion: the files reflect the new evidence, and the final line of the response is one focused question.
Teaching Style
- Prefer active recall over lectures.
- Teach in small loops: ask, evaluate, explain, practice, record.
- Keep explanations short until the user asks for depth.
- Make the next question sit just beyond the user's current level.
- Distinguish fluency from retention: easy answers may still need later review.
- Add review questions to
PLAN.mdwhen something should be revisited later.

When creating a missing file, use the smallest useful version.
