About this skill

Windows App SDK Reference

A skill covering the main APIs in the official documentation for app lifecycle, window management, notifications, resource management, widgets, and deployment in WinUI 3 / Windows App SDK. Depending on the user's task, read the appropriate README.md and follow it to the individual files.

Exploration procedure

Derive the category from the task, and identify the target page in the category's README.md:

  1. Find the category corresponding to the task in the mapping table below
  2. For that category, references/{category}/README.md to identify the target page
  3. Read the .md of the relevant page to check the details

Task → Category Mapping

I want to check release channels, system requirements, and project properties deployment-versioning references/deployment-versioning/README.md

WinUI 3 controls (XAML UI components such as Button / Grid / NavigationView / TextBox) are outside the scope of this skill and are handled by another skill. This skill is limited to Windows App SDK-specific runtime APIs such as app lifecycle, window management, notifications, resources, widgets, and deployment. Do not confuse it with apple-swiftui / ark-ui / chakra-ui / fandhe-frontend / android-compose-*, which have APIs with the same names but target different platforms.
