When to use
- Up-to-date data is needed (prices, exchange rates, news)
- A question about recent events
- A fact needs to be verified
- The user explicitly asks to "find", "google"
When NOT to use
- General knowledge (the capital of France)
- Historical facts (when a war happened)
- Basic definitions
Work process
1. Formulate the query
A good query:
- Specific (not "about cars", but "Tesla Model 3 2024 prices")
- Without unnecessary words ("buy iPhone 15 price Moscow")
- In the language of the expected results
2. Perform the search
webSearch({ query: 'specific query' })
3. Process the results
- Check relevance (publication date)
- Compare several sources
- Highlight the main points
4. Present the answer
- Answer the question (do not retell everything found)
- Cite the sources
- Note if the information is contradictory
Examples of good queries
| Bad | Good |
|---|---|
| "news" | "technology news today" |
| "weather" | "weather Moscow today" |
| "how much does it cost" | "iPhone 15 Pro price official" |
Limitations
- Search is text only (not images)
- Results may not be in Russian
- Some websites are unavailable
