MixSeek Configuration Validation

Overview

Validates whether MixSeek-Core configuration files conform to TOML syntax and the MixSeek schema. It detects TOML syntax errors, missing required fields, out-of-range value errors, etc., and suggests how to fix them.

Prerequisites

MixSeek-Core is installed
The configuration file to be validated must exist
The Python command must be available (detect-python-command determined by the skill)

Supported File Types

Usage

Step 1: Confirm the Validation Target

Ask the user which file to validate:

- 特定ファイル: configs/agents/team-web-research.toml
- 全設定: すべての設定ファイル

Step 2: Run the Validation

detect-python-command Skill's run-python.sh Run the validation using:

Step 3: Report the Results

Report the validation results to the user:

On Success: Display the validation items and results
On Failure: Suggest the error details and how to fix them

Validation Items

TOML Syntax Validation

Correctness of basic syntax
String quoting
Array/table format
Comment format

Schema Validation

Item	Description
Required fields	Whether the necessary fields exist
Field type	Whether the value type is correct
Value range	Whether numeric values are within the allowed range
Format	Validation of special formats such as model format
Uniqueness	Uniqueness of agent_name, etc.
Consistency	min_rounds <= max_rounds, etc.

Validating a Single File

User: team.tomlを検証して

Agent: configs/agents/team-web-research.toml を検証します...

       ✅ TOML構文: OK
       ✅ 必須フィールド: OK

If there are errors

User: team.tomlを検証して

Agent: configs/agents/team-broken.toml を検証します...

       ❌ エラーが検出されました:

       1. 必須フィールド欠落
          - team.members[0].tool_description が未定義
          - 修正: tool_description = "エージェントの説明" を追加

       2. 値の範囲外
          - team.max_concurrent_members = 100 (範囲: 1-50)
          - 修正: 1〜50の値に変更

       3. モデル形式エラー
          - team.leader.model = "gemini-pro" (無効)
          - 修正: "google-gla:gemini-2.5-pro" 形式に変更

Validating All Files

       結果: 4/5 ファイルが有効

Error Messages and How to Fix Them

TOML Syntax Error

Error: Invalid TOML at line 15

Cause: Invalid TOML syntax Fix: Check the syntax of the relevant line (quotes, brackets, etc.)

Missing Required Field

Error: Missing required field: team.leader.system_instruction

Fix: Add the specified field

[team.leader]
system_instruction = "指示内容"

Type Error

Error: Field 'temperature' must be float, got string

Fix: Correct the value type

# 誤り
temperature = "0.7"

# 正しい
temperature = 0.7

Range Error

Error: Field 'max_rounds' must be 1-10, got 15

Fix: Change the value to within the allowed range

Model Format Error

Error: Invalid model format: "gemini-pro"
Expected format: "provider:model-name"

Fix: provider:model-name Change to the format

model = "google-gla:gemini-2.5-pro"

Weight Total Error

Error: Metric weights must sum to 1.0, got 0.8

Fix: Adjust so that the sum of the weights is 1.0

Troubleshooting

The script cannot be executed

Error: No module named 'mixseek'

Solution:

Check whether MixSeek-Core is installed
uv sync Run to update dependencies

File not found

Error: File not found
